Love again- Charlie swan (rewrite)

Chapter 9

As Edward sat with his family and Charlie getting all of them getting to know each other he couldn't help but look at Bella who stood away from everyone else, he didn't need jaspers ability to know the anger that Bella was feeling, he could see it rolling off her as she glared at the woman he thought of as a second mother. He frowned slightly as he looked at her, his mind being filled with three words make Anastasia pay.

As he looked at Bella more he grew curious, those were the only words he had ever heard from her mind, he thought he'd be able to hear more but as soon as she looked at him her mind went blank again. As she smiled at him he couldn't help but feel sick to his stomach, here she was thinking of hurting his mother figure and yet she had the audacity to pretend everything else was okay.

As he stood up he smiled at his family before excusing himself.

He walked into the hallway of their home when he felt a hand on his wrist, as he looked down at Bella he pulled his arm away from her "what can I do for you" he mumbled trying to be polite to her for the sake of Charlie
"I was wondering what you wanted to go today, considering we're together now" she smiled as she went to hold his hand but he pulled away quickly.
"Bella we are not together we never were, I only wanted friendship with you" he mumbled before he sped away.

Anastasia sat next to Charlie and smiled a little to herself as she listened to Edward talk to Bella, she hated that Edward thought he finally found someone to love but now he hadnt, she really hoped that he found his love soon so he could be happy.

The next few days were a mess to say the least, Alice although a vampire had started to develop headaches with the amount of times Bella kept changing her decisions on what to do with Anastasia, so much so that she had to stop watching Bella's future for a little while because it was hurting her so much.

The entire family had agreed not to tell Ana about the possible threat that Bella possessed because of the happiness that her and Charlie were experiencing at the moment, anyone who looked at them could tell they were deeply and madly in love, everyone except each other of course, their relationship hadn't progressed any further but nobody minded it was cute to watch them.

Jacob black had become the number one fan of Charlie and Ana as he always asked his dad if they could go over and spend time with the woman he had grown to think of as an aunt. And of course Billy could never find a reason to say because he too had grown to care for the girl that Charlie loved.

But of course all good things must come to end.

Ana yet again was dragged into drama as nomads started to run around their town killing people, and one of those people happened to be her mates friend which absolutely destroyed the man.

The night it happened she walked into the station just after Carlisle left to see Charlie hunched over his desk crying quietly into his hands, she walked over to him and gently wrapped her arms around him, the man didn't even flinch before he wrapped his arms around her tightly and cried into her. They had stayed that way for hours until Bella came in and of course ruined the moment, of course neither of them missed the glared which Bella was throwing at Ana.

That night she spent with Charlie holding him through the night and hopefully aiding in the grief he felt at loosing someone he cared about.

The next few days after that we're simple and quite, that was until the nomads one in particular captured Bella's scent.

As the cullens played baseball, it gave them a chance to unwind and relax after all the stress Bella had been putting on them.

All the cullen children loved watching their mother figure slowly become the care free woman they had used to know when they were all turned, she was caring, kind and all round amazing. They all had Charlie swan to thank for bringing the care free nature of their mother back.

Anastasia ran around the field chasing after Emmett until she flung herself at him and smirked as she grabbed the ball "too slow teddy bear" she smiled and threw the ball towards Edward who chuckled as he caught it before he took ran from Emmett.

They all played for hours until Alice froze and gasped making Edward stop too as both of them glanced towards their mother figure with a look of pure terror, she felt their eyes on her and she frowned as she looked towards them, she tilted her head gently as she sped towards them "what's wrong are any of your hurt" she mumbled looking them both over for injuries, all the other cullens rushed to them as well all of them concerned at what was happening to two of their own until Edward looked down at his mother and sighed sadly "I'm so sorry" he whispered softly

She frowned as she looked towards Alice "I can't see Charlie's future anymore" she whispered "there's a blonde nomad heading straight towards Charlie's car, he caught Bella's scent but then heard Bella saying you were the most important thing to him so now the nomad is going after Charlie instead" Alice whispered

They watched as many different emotions crossed the woman's face before it landed on anger, she was about to say something before their vampire hearing picked up a crash a few miles away and the scent of bloody slowly travelled to her as she gasped loudly "Charlie" she whispered before she sped off, her entire family following her.

Her eyes has changed from their honey hold colour to the colour of jet black.

As she arrived at the crash site she looked at her unconscious mate I'm the drivers seat surrounded by broken glass and his own blood, she could tell he'd done some damage just because of the amount of blood.

Her head snapped up to the smirking blonde tracker as her family each surrounded her, Carlisle and Esme rushing to Charlie's aid.

She growled loudly, her growl shaking the forest as she let her inner animal take over "you hurt soul mate" she mumbled sadistically as she watched the tracker slowly loose his attitude and look at her in horror which made her smirk "that's right you should be scared of me"

She turned her head to nod at Carlisle who sped Charlie to the hospital along with Esme and Edward, with Edward being the fastest, her mate had a better chance.

She slowly looked back at the tracker in front of her, her once black eyes slowly turning red with anger at the fact he had hurt her mate and so he took off running, Alice, Jasper, Emmett and Rosalie all looked at her before the five of them chased after the man.

The chase lasted a few minutes until he ran onto the wolves land, she growled as she jumped over, the three wolves running to her as soon as both the vampires jumped into their land "he hurt Charlie" she growled so they knew which made them chase after the man faster.

Just as the tracker was about to jump over the river again she jumped up and grabbed him, in her anger filled state she has managed to rip his head off in one swoop and watched while smirking as Jasper burned his body.

The wolves and vampires watched as the girl they loved gasped loudly as her eyes changed back to their golden colour, and watched as she gripped her chest tightly before letting out a pained scream, in the future that could be seen as the single worst moment of her life, because that's when she felt it, that's when she felt the life of her mate slip away, that's the moment that she felt Charlie Swan die.
