That evening I'd locked myself in the bathroom. I could do this by myself and I didn't need Potter's help. I tried to heal my wounds with some spells I found in a book long ago. I'd never tried them before, but perhaps they could make my scars disappear. I'm not sure I wanted them to though, they covered up my dark mark. The wound on my lip immediately healed, leaving behind the tiniest scar. The rest was less easy, certainly the broken rib. Healing a bone hurts a lot, it had to shift back in place correctly and quickly. Luckily it worked. I was all clean, except well, I could never be fully clean. I sighed, shrugging off the temptation of getting in that shower.

My room was pitch black except for the moonlight. Potter was already asleep, he must have it so easy. No nightmares, nothing holding him back. My nightmares were still present though, even that night.

"Draco? Where are you, son? Mr. Gray is here to see you again!", My father yelled, his voice echoing off of all the walls in the manor. Mr. Gray... no...

I tried to hide, but when I opened my closet door it was just a long corridor, so instead I hid under my bed. Not for long though, as something grabbed my ankles and pulled me back into a large dark bedroom. A tall man towered above me, his mad eyes wide and his grin wider. "There you are boy!", Mr. Gray laughed, squeezing my cheeks with his boney Grey-colored hands, his long fingernails scraping my skin. He lifted me up into the air as I dangled there. I tried to escape, but my body was restricted by something. Suddenly, I felt two strong familiar arms surround my torso and help me escape. Potter.

As I woke up, I turned to face him. His emerald eyes looked away from me, but let me cry on his shoulder. It was a great shoulder... TO CRY ON! With a soft smile, he left my grasp and entered the bathroom as I dozed off again, this time a little calmer and more peaceful. I was able to sleep until morning.

Usually, I went to breakfast with Pansy, but it was still too early for that so I decided to go to the library. The person I saw there was the reason I didn't enter, Browne and his goons. I sighed, turning around and going wherever else. Suddenly, I remembered that I hadn't answered the person's note the other time. It put a smile on my face just thinking about whoever they were. In dark moments like mine, having a person to talk to can help I've noticed.

On my way to Moaning Myrtle's bathroom, although Myrtle had been gone for a while, I crossed Potter. Merlin his eyes were beautiful, but that's not the point. We simply walked past each other. In a way, it felt good, natural, with no snarky remarks on my part, no sassy comebacks from his. Yet, I expected him to say something about that night, but when he didn't, I just continued walking, leaving the raven-haired man behind me.

Before entering I checked to see if anyone was looking and entered.

What happened? I was a bit worried when you didn't answer.

I sighed, answering that I was mostly fine. I wondered if I should tell them about my episode, maybe another time I decided. I was out of that bathroom as quick as I had entered only to be met with Blaise. His eyes widened as he stared at me, "What are you doing here?", he asked me. "Oh please Blaise, where else would I be ya dim-witted twat!", I snapped, rolling my eyes. He chuckled, "I'm sorry you got beaten up by those kids Draco. Browne's been spreading rumors about you and saying he's going to kick your arse.", he said. I shrugged, starting to walk to the Great Hall, "Well then I'll just have to kick his harder.", I answered smugly. It felt good talking to Blaise, honestly, I'd missed him. He was my best friend after all.

The gossip had faded in the sense that it didn't bother me as much anymore. Pansy joined us on our way to breakfast, delighted that we were getting along again. Although, when we got into the Great Hall it was different. People stared at us more than usual, probably because of the gossip that had been spread about me this time. It wasn't until then that I noticed that Browne and his very own Crabbe and Goyle had approached us. "Well well well, what do we have here? Draco Malfoy of all people or should I say Death eater Malfoy. You've destroyed a lot of lives here, maybe we should take turns in hitting him?", he laughed turning around to the other students. The teachers hadn't arrived, they didn't come to breakfast anymore so they had more time to prepare classes or rebuild parts of the school or plan, or whatever it is that teachers did.
