A large wolf begins to stir in a fire-lit cottage. He raises his head trying to focus tired scarlet eyes, something he hadn't even been able to do till now.
The creature glances out the window seeing its dark but moonlight shines brightly.
He's not sure how long he's been here but he knows it's been a few days at least.
The animal hasn't been able to stay awake and alert till now, loss of blood and the long night of running days before had kept him pretty much passed out cold but in the times he had opened his eyes or stirred one thing was always the same, there was a set of concerned emerald eyes staring back at him.
He had tried to focus more on those eyes, those eyes that were always there with a calming smile, those eyes that looked worried at times, those eyes that never left his side.
There's a wolf brow raised because he wonders just who those green eyes belong to.
' Izuku'
The name comes back across his mind like a warm breeze on a cold afternoon.
Speaking of Izuku, the wolf suddenly wonders where those green eyes are.
He looks around the cottage continuing to lie on his makeshift quilt bed by the fire
There are different jars of creams and ointments he notices along with bandages that must have been used to nurse him back to health.
There's also some food and water nearby. He vaguely remembers being spoon-fed but it definitely happened.
As he continues to look around his surroundings the one thing he doesn't see are those green eyes and for whatever reason the Alpha in him suddenly lets him know that he doesn't like that because there's a deep growl working its way up his throat at the absence of this ....Izuku.
He tries to stand, the sudden movement making a wash of pain and weakness hit him suddenly.
' Fuck. That's not good'
The wolf stands near the fire unmoving now trying to get his bearings before he tries again.
He starts to move again feeling stiff from laying so long, the pain in his shoulder every time he takes a step a reminder that it once held an arrow.
A growl comes from his throat, annoyed by it. He doesn't like it to be slowed down and two arrow wounds will definitely do that.
His mind shifts back to the task at hand, finding the owner of those green eyes.
Wolf ears pick up a sound suddenly.
He twitches his long sleek ear listening again.
Finally, he realizes it's the sound of soft breathing, low steady breaths. Sleeping ones.
The sleek animal moves quietly toward the sound.
Around a small corner scarlet wolf eyes land on what he seeks.
Izuku is curled up on his bed sleeping.
The animal takes steps forward stopping directly in front of the small bed.
He raises a wolf brow.
Thinking about how small the bed is and how this....Izuku can hardly fit.
He also notices he's only covered up by his coat and just as the dark wolf begins to wonder why it hits him.
His makeshift bed by the fire, the blanket he slept on was Izuku's.
He lets a huff of air out almost annoyed by the fact that this male that he doesn't even really know could get sick from lack of warmth.
