finn sat on a bench outside the airport. finn had his eyes glued to his phone, his knee bouncing with anxiety.

she said she'd be walking here right now, i don't get it, he thought.

the airport doors opened and shut, finn's head shot up every time. he knew he must've looked like an idiot to everyone he gave an awkward smile to as they walked out. he didn't care though, he knew one of the times the door opened it'd finally be time to meet y/n.

finn kept his head down apart from when the door opened which left him all alone with his thoughts. his mind was going frantically from one thought to another.

is she okay? did she get lost? did she even come? no, she posted about it, how could she do that?? did she get another ticket, no finn so sound stupid.

finn kept looking up at the opening door, then back down. he was losing hope, at one point he even stopped looking up. his thoughts were too loud to even pay attention to the sounds of the sliding automatic doors.

will she even like me when she sees me? no finn, she probably didnt even come. but she had to have, right? am i waiting here for nothing? no, shes coming, shut up. or is she? i don't know. im anxious. i want to see her, i hope she likes m-

"BOO!" finn jumped up and looked in front of him. there she was.

"haha, did i scare you?" finns heart was racing from both y/n's jumpscare and the fact that she was actually standing right there in front of him.

"Y/N! god you scared the shit out of me," finn beamed as he got up and pulled the girl into a hug.

"i'm so sorry" she giggled and hugged him back.

after about 15 seconds which felt way too short, y/n pulled away from the hug first which crushed finn just the tiniest bit. "i would kill to hug longer, but it's 2am."

he wished to hold her longer, but he understood she was exhausted.

"i got a nice hotel room," he let out. "it's got a pool on the patio, i think thats pretty cool."

"i'm very very excited, does it have a big bed??" y/n asked both curiously but also in a way to subtly ask if there was one or two beds.

"it has two big beds, two queen sized beds!!" finn answered. he made sure to get a room with two beds as to not make y/n feel uncomfortable.

y/n however felt a little upset. of course she knew she'd never been upfront about her feelings, but she didn't feel like she even could. she was exhausted and torn that she wouldn't even get to share a bed with the guy she'd been crushing over for the past few weeks.

she put her feelings aside however when finn began to lead her to his car. he opened the passenger side door for her which made her smile with blushing cheeks before stepping inside. he shut the door gently for her before getting into the drivers seat.

"you're gonna love the hotel room, i know it. the bed is pretty comfy and i know how tired you are."

"FIGHT OR FLIGHT, I'D RATHER DIE!"

finn laughed at the girl screaming the lyrics to flight or fight by conan gray. he spotted a 7/11 with a gas station before looking at his gas amount.
