albedo || neglected anniversary

again this is me in 2024 publishingg something cringe i half wrote back in like 2022 . Dunno why im doing this to myself🥰

"You're in a romantic relationship with the alchemist? Hah- the alchemist?! Wait, YOU'RE SERIOUS?!"

"Yes, tao, im serious! How do you not know this??"

"Ain't no way. He would never."

"Well, tao, he did! It's been a year, actually, and infact, I'm off to see him right now. To drop off food, that is. And leave. "

"You're not going to spend lunch with him? I mean, it's your anniversaire, right"

"Nope."

You shook your head in response. No, you weren't. You knew better than to disturb him longer than you already did whilst he was conducting serious experiments. Truth be told, albedo's tempter seemed to be shortening every day you did visit him with lunch. 

Although his frustration was quite evident to you, you would never forgive yourself if albedo's health was to decline because there was no one to take the place of actually caring about his health

Being his s/o, the weight was obviously on you more than anyone else

How could you ever just leave the love of your life to suffer?

Coming to one of the many labs of the school, specifically the one assigned to albedo, his assistant sucrose, and yourself, you knocked lightly on the door, a barely audible "come in" reaching your ears

You walked in, carefully heading over to where albedo was working, your steps concerningly wary so as to not "disturb your boyfriend".

"Hey, albedo. ...I brought your lunch."

"..."

Silence.

Silence was always the answer.

As much as it hurt, you loved albedo too much to try and bring attention to the situation

You sighed, opening your mouth to speak on the issue but opting to say something else instead

"Your favourite. Know what day it is..?"

"..."

More silence.

You huffed at his lack of response, coming to the conclusion that he probably forgot

"It's our anniversary, albedo. Happy 1 year."

You harshly put the tub of food on an empty counter space, a few test tubes, flasks and beakers shaking at the impact

"Get out."

His tone was so bitter, and so harsh, and the words uttered surprised you

"What...?"

"I said, get out, y/n. Get the hell out of here"

"Albedo-"

"You seriously think I care that it's our anniversary? It's not that important, y/n, stop holding onto such trivial matters like these. "

His tone got louder by word, and, for the first time in forever, he paused his work on his experiment, and addressed you directly.

Yeah, he was angry

"I... okay, fine. Enjoy your sunshine sprat, and enjoy your time fucking in here with sucrose"

But you were angrier. Not upset, angry. Irritated. Irked.

Albedo himself was surprised by the statement you spat, and he stood up properly to watch you storming out of the lab, purposely pushing a few things off the counters so they shatter on the ground
