Chapter 15- Ariel

Minori's POV

"Oh Minori, isn't that romantic ? " Trish gushed as she watched wide eyed at the scene unfolding before our eyes on the tv.

"If you think so . That seemed like a form of disrespect to me though, I mean, the girl was speaking her mind about what she was feeling about the situation , and that guy just cut her off with a kiss ? Rude much ? That girl is really dumb as well. How can she be so easily distracted by a kiss by the guy and actually kiss him back ? " I exclaimed with a dramatic roll of my eyes.

That earned me a huge smack on my head.

"Oh my god, you have no idea of what is romance. How can you say that ? Let's see what you will be like when you are in such a situation." Trish exclaimed.

"Like that would ever happen. I would never ever let myself get carried away by a guy if I were ever in such a situation. He will earn a slap from me."

"We'll see about that." Trish replied ominously.

This.... was not how I envisioned the first kiss between us to be.

After this farce of a marriage was put up , I knew we would end up having to kiss at some point of time. But I have always thought that that kiss would be another facade that we have to put up to show how "loving" we were.

And not this.

His lips were surprisingly soft as they moved against mine , igniting a flurry of butterflies in my stomach.

As our lips moved along in sync, I could not help but feel how right this felt , even though I knew how wrong this was.

"Miya... Miya . " He murmured against my lips as he gripped my shoulders closer to him .

And that, snapped me out of the heated frenzy that I was in .

The name of another woman on his lips as he was kissing me was enough to wake me up and remind me again of the reason why we are not suitable for each other .

With a huge shove , I managed to push him backwards.

"That, was a mistake, I can't believe you actually did that. " I muttered as I wiped my lips against my sleeves.

"Yet you enjoyed it . You did kiss me back. " he replied with his signature smirk .

Blood rushed across my cheeks as I realised that he was indeed correct.

"You jerk! " I gritted through my teeth.

"Yeah , yeah, whatever.But on a serious note, I want you to stay away from Cheonwu.He is not a good for you . This is an advice I am giving to you because of the relationship we have . I would not want my partner to be hurt because of him. "

"Geeze, thanks for your concern and advice." I answered sarcastically as I readjusted the fallen blanket barrier.

" No need to thank me. I'm afterall a kind and wonderful partner who is looking out for the best interests of his partner. Where else can you find a prince like me ? " He answered.

Right. Where else can I find a narcissistic prince like you ? I asked myself internally as I lay down on my side of the bed, ready to settle for the night.

" Hey, hey wake up . "

"Five more minutes Trish . " I mumbled as I rolled to the other side.

" Do I sound like your maid to you ? Wake up already." the bemused voice sounded again.

"Shut up and let me sleep." I mumbled incoherently .
