Chapter 9

Minori's pov

"I spy something that is small and green."

"Leaves."

"I spy something that is tall."

"Trees."

"I spy a big group of something that is filled with greenery."

"Forest."

"I spy som-"

" Oh for goodness sake Trish, can you stop it with your 'I spy' game. It is seriously getting on my nerves." I said  tiredly as I rubbed my temples.

It has been three days since we left the Forbidden City. Three full days of travelling, and three long days of endless ' I spy' games with Trish.

My relationship with Kame did not change much either. Apart from sleeping together in the same room  that  we rest in for the night to keep up the appearance of us being 'happily married' newly weds, we continued to behave like strangers, or rather enemies around each other when there was no one else around.

"Oh come on Minori, don't be such a wet blanket. It is the only thing that we can do to entertain ourselves here in the carriage. Now, let's continue this game. I spy..."

Control.Control don't feel, don't let it show.It is all about the control Minori . Control yourself and not throttle her pretty little neck . I chanted repeatedly in my head in a bid  to get myself to calm down.

"Come on Minori, surely you know the answer to this question."

And that, was the final straw that broke the camel's back.

"TRISHH!!!" I screamed as my hands found themselves a new resting place around her delicate white neck .

"I would ask if you ladies  are alright , but knowing how you people behave around each other ... Well, I would really appreciate it if you  actually piped it down in there." Kame's voice flowed lazily into the carriage.

"Haha. Thanks for your concern your highness. Now, may I ask when are we arriving in Mongolia ?" I replied dryly as I removed my hands from Trish's throat.

"Tsk tsk. That is why I hate women like you. So delicate and useless. Can't even endure a three day journey like this. We would be arriving latest by nightfall."

"Geeze... Thanks for thinking so highly of us your highness. I'm so glad that we have such a reliable and strong man around us to pacify  and entertain  us apart from all these trees around us." I retorted sacarstically as I rolled my eyes.

He gave an annoying laugh before riding off.

I rolled my eyes again before turning to face Trish, only to find her looking at me with amusement sparkling in her eyes.

"You know, every time you interacted with Kame, you guys behaved  like an old married couple bickering with each other over petty matters. You guys actually looked compatible that way." Trish said with a chuckle.

"We do not." I retorted, horrified that Trish would even think that way.

"Yes you do. Why not give it a chance ?" She said playfully.

"What chance ? It is impossible between the two of us. We are people from two different worlds. This is something that you should know better than anybody else. And even if we were from the same world,I wouldn't go after him .Cassanovas ain't my type. Therefore, while I know that you have my interests at heart, I would really appreciate it if you stop with your usual matchmaking efforts."
