Louis was sitting on his bed when I walked into his dormitory.

He had a notebook on his lap and he was writing something down.

It was most likely homework.

"Am I disturbing you?" I asked, and my voice caught his attention.

He looked up, his eyes meeting mine for a short second. He shook his head just once and then went back to his homework.

I shut the door behind me, approaching his bed. I sat down across from him, folding my legs.

"Are you upset with me?"

"Why would I be upset with you, Anna?" Louis asked, shrugging, but the change on tone went straight to my brain.

I let out a shaky breath, staring at him.

He hates me.
He hates me.
He hates me.

"You're lying." I said faintly. "Why are you upset with me?"

"I'm not fucking upset with you!" He shouted, and I flinched, moving backwards and away from him.

Louis looked at me, breathing heavily, but then his face softened when he saw my reaction.

"Anna..." he sighed. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell."

I'm annoying him.
I'm bothering him.

Louis pushed his stuff out of the way and it landed on the floor. Then he reached forward to pull me against him, but I got off the bed.

"I should—" I pointed my thumb at the door. "...I have a lot of homework to catch up on, and there's practice this afternoon so..."

Louis called out my name, but I felt so embarrassed by the way I felt, that I just had to get away.

You shouldn't feel this way just because he raised his voice.

I kept beating myself up about it as I walked out of the Ravenclaw common room and down the stairs.

I walked into the fifth floor corridor, all the way to the end, silently greeting the people I passed.

When reaching the door to the grand staircase, I pushed it open and walked out just as one of the staircases moved away.

I sighed.

That meant I had to wait.

When it finally got back to me, I walked down to the second floor and into the corridor.

I was making my way through the second floor corridor which was a cosy corridor with bookshelves against the walls and a small seating area that was currently occupied.

The two young students smiled friendly at me and I repaid it before rounding the corner, getting out of their line of sight.

But just as I did, I was grabbed by the both of my arms and slammed against the wall so hard that all air was sucked from my lungs.

I instantly panicked, my mind going back to when I was a child and my mum would push me against the wall, keeping me locked.

My eyes were wide and I stared right into the eyes of Graham Montague.

"Did you seriously think you could avoid me the entire school year?" He whispered to make sure the young students just around the corner wouldn't hear what was happening. "Let alone two weeks."

He let out a breathy chuckle, watching my terrified expression.

"I need the money, McCarthy."

I gulped.
