Nancy rolled over on her side, letting out a little hum. She heard the faint buzz of the people on the television talking.
She sat up a bit, remembering where she was and realized her and Robin had slept through most of the movie.
Nancy couldn't help but smile seeing Robin's honey-colored bangs swept over her face as she was sleeping. She looked so peaceful and content. Nancy planted a gentle kiss on Robin's forehead and snuggled up to her with the blanket even more.
Nancy could feel her heart trying to burst out of her with joy and excitement for what was to come of her and Robin. She never realized how exciting and magical love could really be and that it really could be just like the fairytales always said.
It was a few moments of Nancy gently running her hands through Robin's hair that Robin woke up.
Robin yawned and smiled sleepily up at her girlfriend, "Hello gorgeous"
Nancy blushed, "Good morning beautiful"
Robin jolted up, "It's morning?!"
Nancy reassured, holding her shoulder, "No, no it's not I was just playing! But not about the beautiful part"
Robin took Nancy's hand in hers, "How'd I get so lucky?"
Nancy scrunched up her nose at her, "Mmm I don't know, how did you?" she asked, playfully
Robin smiled and leaned in for a kiss to which Nancy happily accepted, putting her hands on Robin's face as she kissed her.
Robin briefly paused their kiss to turn off the tv, leaving them in the dark and she pulled Nancy closer to her as they continued kissing.
Nancy's heart was racing and she grabbed Robin close to her, she could feel Robin's heart racing too. It was a kind of bliss that Nancy never thought she'd ever feel again after Steve but somehow being with Robin felt even better than Steve and Johnathon combined.
Never in a million years would Nancy have thought it would happen but there she was falling head-over-heels for her.
After a few more moments kissing turned into making out. As they parted lips for air, Robin said, breathlessly, "Nance I..."
The faint glow of the orange street light from outside came in through the small basement and was casting a steady warm glow in the basement that Nancy hadn't noticed before till her eyes adjusted to the darkness.
But now even in the darkness with the dim street light, she could still make out the pale blue of Robin's eyes.
"Yes Robs?" Nancy asked, gently
Robin blurted, "I love you"
Nancy's eyes widened, "You love me?"
Robin stammered, "Oh shit, I'm sorry. It's too soon isn't it? Why would I do that? Nance, I'm so sorry"
Nancy interrupted her, "No, Robin stop!" she shook her head, "Don't apologize"
Robin met her gaze.
"I love you too, Robin" Nancy professed, holding both of Robin's hands in hers
Robin beamed, "Really?"
"Yes! So what if it's a bit soon? You're the funniest, sweetest and most beautiful person I've ever met" Nancy hesitated for a moment, "Did that come off to strong?"
Robin giggled, "We're a mess"
Nancy blushed, "We are"
"But you are too. Y'know, all those things you said about me. We've been friends for a little while now and I feel like I've grown as a person since knowing you"
