Day 72

"How do you like the eggs Elleanore?"

I swallowed the bite before answering T-Dog, "They're good, thank you, T."

I liked T-Dog, he always seemed to go with the flow and barely disagreed with Rick's group.

We were eating breakfast outside, where the group was camping. It was quite nice, everyone had their own tent, or was sharing with someone close to them.

And as for the breakfast, we were sat around the campfire where carol and T were cooking the breakfast.

The scenery was awfully familiar as if I had seen it before. And I truly had. It felt like a strange type of déjà vu until I remember exactly how I had been here before. I had seen it during my strange headache episode, I had seen the breakfast along with the farm, the deer and Sophia...

I had finally decided to tell someone that day and get it off my chest. although I knew nobody in their right mind would believe me. But then again, who would believe in dead people walking?

The trees surrounding us gave us the perfect shade while the soft air passed us every once in a while. And even though the tension was high between the people, and almost everyone had something to worry about, or a secret to hide, I was enjoying my breakfast.

"So, you ain't gonna talk about it?" I heard Daryl's quiet voice from my right. I looked up from my plate to look into Daryl's blue eyes.

"I don't know what you're talking about" I whispered back before taking another spoonful of scrambled eggs.

"I'm talking about the nightmare that woke you up today" he leaned forward, closer to me as he spoke.

"What? Are you worried about me?" I chuckled and looked him in the eyes as I leaned toward him, bringing our heads closer while our bodies stayed seated on the picnic chairs.

I took my time looking over his face as he did the same to mine, and I may or may not have caught his eyes lowering down to my lips before they slowly connected back with my eyes. An amused smile stretched onto my face as I saw his cheeks slightly reden as he realized I had caught him.

Glenn's voice broke us out of our trace, while I leaned back in my chair, Daryl awkwardly cleared his throat and looked down, probably to hide his blush.

Thank God my cheeks are sunburnt.

"Uh, guys. So... the barns full of walkers" he spoke nervously causing everyone to stop what they were doing and look at him in disbelief.

Oh shit.

***

I need to tell them about Sophia.

But how the hell am I going to do that?

We were all standing in front of the barn when Shane started to yell at Rick about leaving the farm, claiming that Forth Benning was the better option.

"We can't go!" exclaimed rick holding his hand up in front of Shane.

"Why, Rick? Why?" asked Shane dropping his hands on either side of him in frustration.

"Because my daughter is still out there." Carol's calm yet desperate voice sounded causing the group to feel pity for her.

"Guys she's-" I tried to speak, but of course, I was cut off by officer asshole.

"Okay, I think it's time that we all start to just consider the other possibility." And even though he had a point, and was certainly right, I still hated him and would never openly agree with his opinion.
