Since we're all a bit exhausted from the water fight, Scarlett decides we'll order take-out and gets out different flyers so we can choose what we want. Rose takes fries with nuggets and Scarlett and I each a pasta dish. We order the food and Scar and I clean up the kitchen while we wait. Rose is occupied with her toys.

"Thank you for today. I really had a lot of fun and I am more than sure that so did Rose." Scarlett says, shortly glancing over to her daughter before smiling widely at me.

"Of course, I mean I had a blast too." I say, returning her smile.
For a moment Scarlett continues to look at me before she goes back to her task.

Around half an hour later, our food arrives and while Scarlett gets it, Rose and I set the table. We take out seats as usual with me next to Scarlett and Rose opposite of us.
It feels so normal to sit here with the both of them while eating dinner that I have to remind myself that this isn't...a thing?

I mean we are not a family or anything. Scarlett and I are 'just' dating, we're not even together yet.
At the thought of that, my heart pulls a little and in this exact moment I realize, that this is what I want deep inside me. I want to be a family with Scarlett and Rose, I want to eat dinner with them daily, I want to spend fun days with them, goof around and just enjoy ourselves.

But after all, I will wait for Scarlett to tell me when she's ready. This is her family, her life and I won't push her into anything she isn't ready for.
I look down at my food and smile a little sadly, hopefully one day this will be my reality.

After dinner, we throw the containers into the trash and go into the living room. Scarlett and I both sit down on the couch. Rose comes after us, looking from one to the other and with a grin, she flops down between us.

"How about a movie night?" Scarlett suggests while playing with Rose's hair that got out of her braids. Rose's eyes grow big and she claps excitedly.

"Yes, please!" She says, bouncing a little in her seat.

"I'm totally in." I agree as well and Scarlett smiles happily at our responses.

"Can I choose a movie?" Rose asks, looking between me and her mother.
I nod and gesture for her to go on. Scarlett also gives her daughter a soft nod and Rose's grin widens, looking up at her mother.

"Let me guess: Frozen?" Scarlett asks with a smile and Rose cheers happily.

"Good choice, little dolphin." I say and Rose beams up at me.

"You like Frozen?" She asks, shuffling a little to face me better.

"I love Frozen." I agree and she giggles cutely at my responds.

"Frozen it is." Scarlett gives in but smiles lovingly at Rose who gets comfortable between us.

Scar grabs the remote and turns on the TV, opening Disney plus. The movie is found quickly and I smile when it starts to play.
It's been a while since I saw it but I really like it and it is kind of a comfort movie for me, together with the second part of course.

Rose is too excited to sit still and jumps up when the first song comes on and I get the feeling, that she might have seen the movie quite often since she seems to know it by heart.
As soon as the lyrics start, she sings along, bouncing adorably on her feet.

"...it doesn't have to be a snowmaaaan." She sings and I can't help it but to play along.

"Go away, Anna." I say and Rose spins around to look at me with big eyes, the excitement of me joining in clearly written all over her face.
