The waves crashed against her feet as she looked into the distant horizon. The sun was right above her head but the cold breeze of winter still froze her skin. Sitting alone on the beach Naeun had a longing look in her eyes. Every day she would be sitting here waiting for something, that she knows is never gonna come back.

Slowly she turned around looking right at the person standing behind her.

"Looking for something particular," the man asked with a soft voice as he gazed at the petite girl's figure sitting on the stand.

Naeun slightly curled her lips upward "Hoping"

She turned back her gazed at the blue waves as a tear unknowingly rolled down her frozen red cheeks.

"Yah, I want you guys to submit your homework by tomorrow or else detention understood"

"Yes, teacher" with that all the students stood up as the teacher walked out of the classroom.

A lone figure stood up calmly among the chaotic students as she packed her books in her bag. Her overgrown bangs hit her beautiful face as she kept to herself.

"Yah, Kim Naeun" someone pushed her shoulder making her stumble a little.

"Don't you wanna go for lunch, hurry up" the girl behind her spoke in a hurried manner "we also have to go for that stupid meeting with the club members for that event"

Naeun slowly turned around "I don't wanna go," she said as she sat back down on her chair and looked out of the window.

There was the sound of a chair being pulled and a loud thump as the girl sat down beside Naeun.

"Nona" she softly spoke making the said girl turn towards her "how much longer are you gonna keep going like this"

Nona looked down as she herself didn't know the answer to that question.

"You know he's not coming back"

"Aiki" Nona looked at her pleading her to not continue what she was bout to say. Nona knew it was the truth but she wasn't ready yet. Not ready to accept her sad reality.

Aiki was saddened for her friend but kept quiet, she slowly stood up and gave her friend a side hug "he wouldn't have wanted you to be like this Nonie"

Nona hearing that looked back out at the clouds constantly changing shape. She knew in her head that fate has played ugly poker with her, but her heart was not ready to let go.

"But he's not here anymore, Aiki"

"He didn't keep his promise"

"He said he'll stay for me"

"He said he'll try"

But he didn't.

He left.

It's my fault

I should've known.

That this day might come

Because I fell in love with a person who wanted to die
