Hyunjin didn't say anything, he was too hurt, and every sentence they would exchange now would make it worse, he was sure.

So he left the room, not looking back as he ran down the stairs, locking himself in the bathroom, slumping down the wall.

Why was love so hard?
And why did it hurt so badly?

Minutes that felt like several hours, or rather years, passed in which the blonde just stared at the gray tiled wall, forcing himself not to cry.

It didn't work.

He wiped his face with his sweater, soaking the pine fabric in tears. It was okay, after all he had cried so many times because of Jeongin. It would pass, the pain would fade.

That's the way love was, painful and draining, he had known that from the start.

But he hadn't wanted to fall in love.

You just can't control feelings...

He hadn't spoken to anyone about it and had suppressed the frustration, the anger and the sadness.

The others would only judge him anyway.

And yet what Han had said earlier touched his heart. It was like a compliment for him, like balm for his sore soul. Balm for the wounds he had suffered the last few days from the unwelcoming nature of the youngest.

He looked at his phone, which suddenly lit up with a notification, sobbing, when he saw his wallpaper.

Jeongin and him.

He turned the phone facing the floor, the image still in his mind, the memories, the good times before things got weird and complicated.

The time before love overtook him and slowly destroyed him.

He wished he had never fallen in love, a friendship was worth so much more than this.

How easy his life would be...
A great group of friends, a loving family and maybe even a relationship. He had turned down anyone who had shown an interest in him over the past few years.

There was only Jeongin in his heart.

Even when he saw him for the first time, there was this tingling sensation. If there was love at first sight, Hyunjin had experienced it.

The actions of the other confused him.
One moment he wanted his closeness and the other he pushed him away.
Like a child with a toy that was only good enough until it lost interest and the toy was forgotten in a dusty corner.

The boy winced as someone rattled the door.

,,Ay Binnie someone doesn't let me pee."

Minho.

The blonde wiped the tears from his face. Sighing at his dead eyes when he saw them in the mirror.

He unlocked the door anyway, holding onto the boy, who literally tumbled towards him.

,,Boy did you smoke weed? Your eyes... Brooooo..."
