"It's already so late. We can stay over at a hotel tonight before we head to our house tomorrow morning."
"Let's do that." I answered before yawning. I saw Alfaro observing my every move. We went inside the elevator.
"I can just ask for a room service so we won't need to go down to their buffet. I know you're tired." I hug his body sideways while he's carrying both our luggage. He peeked at my face before smiling so I tiptoed and kissed his cheek. I almost couldn't reach his face even though I was wearing heels.
Ini-slide ko ang key card bago pumasok sa loob. Napanganga ako sa ganda at lawak nito. Nanlalaki ang mga mata ko siyang nilingon. Binaba niya ang mga bag namin sa gilid at isa-isa tinanggal ang butones ng suot na suit.
"A normal room would've sufficed!" Mangha kong nilibot ang kabuoan. May jacuzzi pa sa veranda, at may sariling kusina at sala! Para na itong exclusive suite.
"I wanted you to feel comfortable and at ease so you could rest properly, Lux. Did you not like it?" His eyes suddenly became sad so I panicked.
He looks a lot like a sad golden retriever now! I feel bad!
Agad ko siyang niyakap at umiling. "No, I just thought that this might be expensive. And anything is okay for me, Alfaro. I love this."
"This is nothing, Lux. I have money to spend on you for the rest of our lives.." Napairap ako at natawa. I know that, too.
At ganoon nga ang ginawa namin. Nag pa-room service na lang kami dahil parehas kaming pagod sa flight. Matapos naming mag ligpit at maglinis ay humiga na kami.
"Have you called your aunt Minerva? Is your uncle doing well?" I asked. Alfaro snakes his arm on my waist before pulling me close to him. He sniffed on my hair before humming.
"Yes, I told them we have arrived. My uncle is still doing a great job. Which is good."
