Morning broke with the gloomiest rays of sun that had ever befallen on the palace grounds. Along with the sound of light drizzles, hushed chatters were heard outside the room of a certain ravenette.
"I don't know what to do! Even the healer said that she can't help him since this time he is not affected physically." Jinyoung said, his voice quivering. He was on the verge of bursting into tears.
Minho, Changbin and Seungmin hugged their eomma immediately as the Baek Queen said, "Jinyoung-ah you have to be strong for our Channie. He needs us all right now. You can't break down like this." Inspite of her words her eyes were filled with restrained tears.
King Joonsung stood on the other side of the closed door, waiting and equally disheartened. Baek Minlee who stood beside him with a supportive hand on his shoulder spoke, "Priest Hwa Ro is with him. He will surely be able help Chan-ah."
"Why did he do that to Channie hyung? I don't get it. Does he hate all of us now?" The poor maknae, Jeongin was already sobbing at one corner as Felix and Jisung tried to console him but failed as they themselves were confused and upset.
Seungmin walked up to Jeongin pulling him in a hug which calmed him down a bit.
"Why does destiny keep toying with our families? I can't see my son going back to the same miserable way he was the past nine years again." Joonsung said, not being able to hold back his concerns anymore.
"We all need to calm down. I know the situation is really messy. But our first priority is to make sure hyung is okay." Minho said.
"Exactly. And then we will all talk to Hyunjinnie hyung together." Felix added.
"But Channie hyung, he needs Hyunjin hyung the most right now. Yesterday he screamed till he blacked out. He hasn't gained consciousness since then. No medicine is working. Priest Hwa has been trying to find a solution but we all know that the only solution here is Hyunjin hyung." Jisung said.
"We can't do anything about that right now. After the things Hyunjin said yesterday, how do we even approach him? Our hands are tied." Changbin reasoned sadly.
"Kids stop wearing yourselves out. Chan will be okay. He has to be. Let's not loose hope." Minlee assured everyone.
Suddenly the sound of the doornob turning was heard. As soon as Priest Hwa got out of the room the worried whispers came to a sudden stop and everyone approached him at once.
"How is he? My son? Is he alright?" Jinyoung asked frantically. And the rest waited as anxiously for the answer.
"His inner wolf is grieving. The initial blow made it feel so tormented and distressed, his soul so weak that even his body was unable to function. To be honest there isn't any knowledge about healing a rejected wolf. The black pearl yesterday almost cracked due to the impact of the rejection. But the bond between the mates is still so strong that the pearl was forced to reinstore its powers. I put the string with the pearl around Prince Chan's neck. It seemed to have calm his wolf, but only temporarily." The High Priest explained.
