You can go to chapter 37 for the army division that was strategized. Still for clarification Hyunjin, Minho and Felix will be stationed within the forest while Chan, Jisung and Changbin will be at the border frontline which is beyond the forest and near the mountains. Lastly Seungmin and I.N will be at the edge of the forest outline, basically between the other two troops. (Yep they are grouped in their Rachas lol)

Author's P.O.V

The Moon crown Prince stood in the middle of the forest, in his armour and coat. The coat wasn't any ordinary piece of attire, it held great significance. This ancestral piece was made of fur painted red and black signifying the strength and leadership of a Moon Royal warrior.

Chan's chest heaved as he inhaled deeply, pulling his mate into his arms for the last time before they part. He kissed over his mate's coat where his neck had his mark.

Minho and Felix too exchanged temporary goodbyes with their respective partners before Jisung and Changbin went to stand beside Chan.

As planned the maknaes had already stationed to take charge of the troop at the edge of forest outline.

Hyunjin, Minho and Felix along with Taehyung and Lisa had to stay back with the troop hidden in the dense trees. And their respective partners were about to move forward to the main army at the borders.

All of the troops were on foot and not on horseback since their strategy involved tranforming into wolf forms whenever needed.

"I love you." Hyunjin whispers, trying to stall his mate's departure though he knew it was inevitable.

"I love you mo-"

Softs lips muffle Chan's words, as Hyunjin flungs his arms around the older's neck. He didn't care if hundreds of soldiers were standing right there, if their brothers and friends were watching. To him only he and his Christopher existed in their world in that moment.

Chan instantly wraps his hands around his mate's waist, returning the kiss, trying to bring him closer than even possible.

Neither wanted to pull apart, but they had to.

As they join their foreheads, eyes closed, breathing in each other's scents Chan says, "I'll be back for you, my love. Before you know it. And then I won't leave you ever again. I promise."

And with that promise Hyunjin let his mate go as the Moon crown prince proceeded to lead his army towards the frontline.

With each step Chan felt a great pull backwards, leading to his mate. Though for some reason the pull didn't seem to be only directed towards Hyunjin. It was something more. Something that he couldn't comprehend about Hyunjin's scent, something that he felt when he touched Hyunjin's skin, something he wanted and needed to protect along with Hyunjin himself, yet he was unaware of what it was.

The afternoon sun now shone directly overhead. The trueblood stood in front of his army, his spear in one hand and shield in another, his eyes surveyed the mountains in front of them. He needed to kill Llongwook before the blood moon appears but there was no trace of enemies yet. He instructed his soldiers to stay alert for any sudden attack.
