One year later.
A year is a long time, many things came happen in the span in 365 days. However today is different, waking up felt right the airiness of the sheets felt light and free. Happiness was something I was grateful to feel.
Today was me and Lukes one year anniversary. Over the span of the year we argued, we cried, we laughed and made love.
We also made commitments into become dog parents best decision ever. Petunia was our loveable ball of energy, she kept me company while luke was away.
The biggest commitment of all was buying a house together. It was a long and hard decision with us deciding neither one of our apartments were right for one another. Lukes was to dark and smelt of smoke, however it was comfort to me nowadays, the strong smell of cologne and smoke was always mixed together on his cream hoodie.
Whereas my apartment was to cramped for both luke and I. I don't think he either appreciated the pink wall full of Polaroid pictures of Michael and me. However he always complemented the smell of sweet cinnamon every time he walked in complaining his house smelt of 'weed' and 'sweat' always making me scrunch my nose up in disgust.
The biggest change of all was Luke's career. After the accident the anxiety of getting back in the ring was to much for him. He'd asked me to join him for his first training session after he was all healed, he was on the floor in a tight ball rocking back and forth slowly crying complaining he couldn't breathe. Breaking my heart in a million pieces.
Luke had decided to follow his dreams of getting into music and becoming a singer. By already having a large fan base it wasn't difficult for people to discover his music. Luke felt more comfortable and found it was so much easier to express himself through words instead of aggression. Of course me and all the boys supported his decision along the way. It was definitely bringing a bigger income in than his boxing career ever did or the fact he wasted all his money on alcohol to drain his sorrows away.
The house we had bought. Was outside of New York away from all the crowds and loud noises. We had ended up going to the bonfire spot one night with Michael and Tessa. We had saw the sale sign on one of the beach houses, me and luke had already fallen in love with it immediately putting an offer on it. The house was definitely for us waking up to the sound of the waves crashing onto the sand, made me want to sigh with satisfaction as I rolled onto Lukes bare warm chest. Petunia enjoyed the long walks down the beach and playing in the sand it was perfect. It had room for kids in the future definitely. I knew luke was my soulmate.
"Morning pretty girl" his raspy voice spoke out, pulling me closer to him wrapping his arms around me.
"Happy one year anniversary" I smiled softly looking into Lukes ocean blue eyes, he leaned down and kissed my cheek softly in return.
"I have the best surprise for you ever today" he smiled giddily letting go of me, then getting up out of bed. Immediately making me snuggle back into the covers for warmth
"What is it lu?" I asked watching as petunia, ran into our room jumping straight onto the bed
"Don't freak out, but I worked my ass off for these tickets. I swear I had to fight a million teenage girls I'm scarred" he said with a serious tone "I got tickets for Taylor swift"
TAYLOR SWIFT. I jumped up, startling petunia in the process who had just gotten comfy on the bed. Before running into Lukes embrace.
"I love you so much, thank you babe" I smiled kissing his soft plump lips.
— Considering luke told me on short notice we were seeing Taylor swift which is the best present someone has ever given me, or the fact me and Michael might've secretly used to scream the words to All to Well on the way to school together.
I had to find an outfit quick, but something that will definitely show off for luke. Deciding to go with a cute corset top and some black flares that definitely made my ass look and boobs look good I was nearly done. Styling my hair was easy Since I had decided to cut it mid length. I put on makeup finishing it off with some eyeliner before running downstairs to meet luke. He was dressed in a green silk top the first few buttons undone and some skinnies.
"Do you want glittery eyeshadow lu?" I asked looking up at my gorgeous boyfriend. He nodded before pulling me into his grasp shutting both eyes. I quickly applied blue glittery eyeshadow to boy eyes before giving his a kiss on the lips.
"I love you remember that" I whispered
— all I can say was Taylor swift was amazing and I might've secretly cried my absolute eyes out during the concert everything about her is queen behaviour. Looking at luke while tears fell from my eyes during cruel summer made him cry from laughter instead.
Face planting into the sheets of duvet was like a zombie falling into a bin. It was not graceful I'll tell you that. But all I can say was I was thankful that me and Luke gave each other that chance.
