I hadn't seen luke since the night he came round, until he had to leave to help Calum. That was now two weeks ago. It was honestly like luke had never existed almost like he had dropped off the face of the earth.
The weather in New York had gotten nicer during time. The heat rose and the sun got brighter. I was convinced everyone was always in a better mood if there was nicer weather.
"Are you even listening to me" Ashton asked snapping his fingers in front of my face
"Huh what" I blink a couple times zoning back into the conversation
Ashton had invited everyone round for a 'get together' but really I think he's just lonely. He sighed every time Michael and Tessa cuddled up together taking a swig of their beers.
"I was saying how's your book going" he asked again bringing his drink up to his lips leaning into the couch more
"Your writing a book again" Michaels shocked tone spoke pulling away from Tessa
"Yeah I am" I smiled resting my chin on Joe's head as he sat in my lap asleep. "Just finished the first chapter though"
"You'll get there eff" Tess said entering the conversation with a smile
"My mum will be excited I'm sure she'll read it as soon as it comes out" Michael chuckled sending you a soft smile
"I'm keeping it a surprise no clues either it's kinda personal I guess" I shrug letting out a sigh
"I should probably go guys I have work" I sigh again letting Ashton take joe from my lap
"I should get him to bed bye eff" he smiled getting off the sofa and walking over to Joe's room.
"I'll see you guys later" I say to Michael and Tess while putting my shoes and coat on
"Thank god your here" matt said running into the back out of breathe
"What's up" I chuckle putting my hair up in a pony tail and changing my shoes to high heels.
"For some reason we're so busy tonight. I'm just gonna warn you, to stay behind the bar tonight I'll take table orders. These guys look sketchy who have walked in. Not the normal customers" he tone deep and serious as he walked back out
I couldn't help but roll my eyes. Me and Matt had been friends now for a good couple months. He had just started working here but fitted in right away. We clicked instantly and maybe had a little fling over time. He was very attractive with brown soft hair and a large but perfect nose. He always had a comforting smile on his face and soft eyes. He had become protective of me from time to time. We eventually kissed. But ruled out there was no physical connection between us and that we should stay friends.
