Y/Ns POV

When I got into the car I quickly remembered I needed to get another flashlight

"Shit, El wait I need to go get another flashlight" I said before leaving the car and quickly going into the house

I ran upstairs and into my dads old study, usually he kept a spare flashlight there incase the other one got broken or something

I searched through some drawers there until I found the flashlight sitting on top of some papers...well it can't hurt to look at what they are right?

I start deviously reading the papers, it's some confidentiality shit from a lab? A fucking lab in Hawkins? What the shit..

Behind the confidentiality papers there was an adoption paper..wait..am I fucking adopted?

I stared down at the adoption papers and quickly got annoyed.."shit why did dad have to spill coffee on more important shit.." I mumbled to myself

I quickly put back the papers then leave, trying to block the thought of me bring adopted from my mind

I got into the car and quickly started driving
"Is something wrong?" El asked looking at me

"Uh no no everything's fine.." I said then els expression got more serious

"Friends don't lie" She said then started using her powers to fuck with the car while still looking at me

"Hey hey don't do that you could get us both killed!" I said then she stopped as some blood came from her nose and she wiped her away

"Everything's fine, I just found some confidentiality papers from Hawkins lab and an adoption paper in my dads old study okay?" I said sort of rambling then el looked at me confused

"Confidentiality..? Adoption?" She repeated...and she ended up repeating these two words to herself the whole drive to Mike's

*at Mike's house*

"Alright kid you can stop with that we're finally here" I said stopping the car then eleven left and quickly ran over to the house and into the basement

I followed but slower until I walked into the basement and saw the boys and el all standing in a circle

"You sure you can do this el?" Mike asked and eleven nodded and Mike handed her a flashlight

"Cmon guys let's go" Mike said then all the kids followed him like the was a leader of a gang or someshit

"Cmon y/n we don't want to waste time" Mike said grabbing my arm and dragging me beside him until we got outside

El suddenly walked to the front and we all followed her, she's the one with magic powers and all

"Are you sure this is going to work?" Lucas asked, rightfully skeptical about the whole ordeal

"Yes it's going to work lucas just trust me..and trust el too" Mike said in a low whisper then everything went silent

After what seemed like hours of walking eleven stopped..I looked up and saw we were infront of wills house

"No el this is where will lives! He's not here that's the whole point!" Mike said as el stood staring at the house

"I told you Mike!" Lucas yelled then we all saw blue and red lights near the bottom of the quarry nearby

"What the fuck?" I whispered as the kids all started walking towards the sirens and we all saw lots of police cars, firetrucks and ambulances...wait why?

We all hid behind a truck and watched as rhe police chief, hopper held his hat in his hands while paramedics pulled someone from the water..

Wait is is will?

We all immediately notice and Mike is the first to start crying and instead of just crying he yells at el

"You were supposed to find him alive! We wanted him to be alive Eleven!" He yelled at el and she stood quietly holding in tears from the yelling

Before Mike could yell at her anymore she quickly ran and hid behind me

"Mike don't yell at el! It's not her fault dude!" I said as el stood behind me grabbing onto my arm

"No it is her fault! If she didn't waste time we would've found will quicker and he would still be alive!" Mike yelled before grabbing his bike then running off

I looked to lucas and Dustin and saw them holding in tears after seeing their bestfriends dead body being pulled from a quarry

They also grabbed their bikes then ran off while el and I stood watching will being lifted into an ambulance

"Hey what are you kids doing here?" Hopper yelled as he saw eleven and I standing behind a truck watching and he walked over

"Who's this?" He asked pointing at eleven who was still hiding behind me

"It's a friend from out of town..uh jane" I quickly thought of a name off the top of my head

"Is she staying at your house?" He asked and I nodded and eleven grip on my arm tightened

"Alright kid, I'll drive you home..you two shouldn't be dealing with this shit" He said before walking us over to his car

*timeskip*

"Stay safe kid, remember you can always call me if you need anything" hopper said as he walked the two of us over to the front door of my house

"Uh yeah I will" I said as eleven quickly opened the door and ran upstairs

"What's up with her?" He asked referring to el as we both watched in confusion as she ran up the stairs

"Uh I don't know, I think she's still just shaken up from seeing will like that" I said then hopper nodded

"Alright see ya later kid, don't hesitate to call if you need anything, even if it's for her" He said with the 'her' referring to el, then he quickly left

I sighed and walked inside then closed the door and slammed my back against it

I knew that wasn't will, will was stuck in some parallel dimension and he could somehow communicate so he wasn't dead

But he was still definitely in trouble and I was going to help him
