Chapter eleven

"I've sacrificed all chances of street- cred"

I rubbed my eyes as I rolled out of bed and fell to the floor with a loud bang, the only thing louder was the knock on the door

I groaned and regretfully pushed off my blanket then left my room and basically crawled down the stairs to the door

I opened the door and saw Joyce, wills mom standing there with a very worried look on her face and red eyes

"Oh hey Joyce, sorry about will.." I said then she looked at me and probably noticed that I had just woken up

"Can I come inside?" She asked looking around worried before looking back to me

"Uh yeah sure sure" I said opening the door more so she could come inside, she quickly went to the living room

"Did you see it too?" She said while staring at the ripped wall paper where I saw will the other day

"If 'it' means will then yes I did see it" I say then she turns around and grabs my arm

"You saw will? What happened is he safe?" She said shaking me over and over again before noticing what she was doing and then letting go

"Yeah I saw him and he was crying and then some big monster yelled and just before I could get him out I gave him my flashlight then he ran away and the thing sealed up!" I said then she looked at me even more worried

"But haven't you heard already they found wills body in the quarry" I said then Joyce sighed

"It's obviously not him! I know my son and that is not him!" She yells obviously on edge

"Uh alright how about we talk about this over tea, hey even coffee if you want" I say then she thanks me and asks me for coffee

While I'm in the kitchen making a coffee for Joyce I hear her talking to someone...wait eleven?

"Y/n who's this? Have you been hiding this girl from everyone? Is she your sister or did you have a child with somebody?" Joyce asked as eleven stood nervously hugging the purple rabbit plushie

"That's Jane! She's my Uh cousin!" I said quickly and I saw eleven smile slightly when I called her Jane, I think she likes the name..

"Aw i thought you had a mysterious kid with someone" Joyce said then I went back to the kitchen and grabbed her coffee

I handed it to her and we both sat on the couch together while eleven sat infront of the TV quietly watching cartoons

"So did tou just see will? Did he tell you where he was?" Joyce asked as she held the coffee tightly in her hands

"I asked where he was but he just said it was like Hawkins but dark and scary" I said then Joyce took a sip of the coffee

"And the monster? Did you see what it looked like?" She asked as if she was a detective

"No I just heard it yelling, but it must've been horrible with how will reacted to it" I said then saw tears in joyces eyes

"Oh my poor baby.." she whispered quietly and eleven noticed then got up off the ground and walked over to Joyce, eleven handed her the purple rabbit plushie

"Here, He might help you feel better" eleven quietly said then Joyce hugged eleven with tears still in her eyes

"Oh thank you sweetie" She said hugging eleven tightly then letting go and handing her back the rabbit

"How did you get such a nice cousin" Joyce whispered to me with a small laugh while she wiped tears from her eyes

"Uh I dunno, she must've been from another family" I joked sorta referring to how she wasn't even related to me

"Thank you y/n, for everything" Joyce said finishing the coffee and setting down the cup before standing up off the couch

"Yeah just swing by if you need something joyce" I said then she smiled and gave me a quick hug

I walked her over to her car and before she got Into it she said "take care of Jane, she's such a sweet kid" Joyce smiled before getting into the car a driving away

I walked back to the house and saw eleven standing at the front door, squishing the rabbit plushie in her arms

"I snuck out to Mike's last night...were friends again.." she said before walking into the house

"Oh friends? Cool- wait what you snuck out!" I said following her into the house where she went to sit down and watch cartoons

"So are you not gonna answer me?" I asked and she shook her head 'no' and continued watching cartoons

Sorry for the shorter chapter this  time! I just wanted to get in another chapter today
