Chapter sixteen

"I can't believe she didn't come back to your house y/n" Mike said turning to look at me

"She has to be close mike, she wouldn't just leave like that" I said as I held elevens rabbit plushie in my hand

"God I shouldn't have yelled at her like that.." Mike mumbled throwing his head back and staring at the ceiling

"Yeah you shouldn't have, pretty asshole move" I said agreeing and then Dustin said "it wasn't your fault mike"

"Yeah it wasn't my fault..it was lucas'" Mike said and I kicked his leg abit

"No it was both of your faults idiots, lucas shouldn't have yelled at el at the start but you still shouldn't have tried to fight him and then yell at el" I said and Mike sighed

"Yeah all of you were acting like punk little assholes, even eleven!" Dustin agreed and Mike looked at him surprised

"El? Cmon y/n call Dustin out on that bullshit your basically her dad your supposed to defend her!" Mike yells and I shake my head 'no'

"Thr bottom line was that you pushed him first...you drew first blood mike!" Dustin said and Mike groaned

"I'm not shaking his hand!" He yelled and Dustin yelled back "it's the rule mike!"

"Either shake his hand or get exiled from the party mike!" I said and Mike looked at me like I betrayed him

"This isn't a discussion its a rule! You have to shake his hand!" Dustin said crossing his arms and Mike sighs In defeat

"Your gonna go shake his hand and then were gonna go look for el" I say then we all leave the basement to go to lucas' house

"What do you guys want?" Lucas says opening to door to see mike, Dustin and I

Mike sighs and I pinch his shoulder "I drew first blood....soo" He says and lucas smiles abit

"Okay ill shake, one one condition, we forget the weirdo and go straight to the gate" lucas says and Mike's mouth drops

"No way! The deals off then!" Mike says folding his arms and lucas says fine in response

"No this isn't fine! You guys better shake on it!" I say forcefully unfolding Mike's arms

"Do you even remember what happened on the Bloodstone Pass?
We couldn’t agree on what path to take, so we split up the party
and those trolls took us out one by one.
And it all went to shit. And we were all disabled! So we stick together, no matter what!" Dustin says making everyone look over at him

"Yeah, I agree. But this is the party, right here in this room" Lucas said and mike looked at him like he was crazy

"We can't do that! El is one of us now! Cmon y/n you agree with me!" Mike said looking over to Me as a last sort of defence

"Just shake his hand mike, we can go save will then look for el" I said and saw Dustin giving a thumbs up, okay so it did sound smart

"She'll never be one of us mike, she's a liar and a traitor! We would've found will already if it wadnt for her!" Lucas yelled

Dustin and I looked at eachother and then left, leaving mike and lucas to continue fighting about something that should've been sorted a while ago

Dustin and I sat outside waiting for lucas and Mike to stop fighting until the door slammed open and Mike ran out and grabbed his bike

"Cmon were going to look for el, lucas wants to go get will by himself" Mike said getting on his bike

"Wait what you can't just let him go on his own" I said following after mike while Dustin got on his bike aswell

"It's his problem if he wants to do it he can!" Mike said peddling away faster while Dustin and I followed behind

"This is weird without lucas yknow" Dustin said looking over to Mike who now looked annoyed again

"He should've just shaken my hand, it's not my fault!" Mike says still looking straight ahead and Dustin sighs

"He's just jealous mike" Dustin said and then Mike looked over at him in confusion and said "what?"

Dustin then sighed "God sometimes your total obliviousness just blows my mind" He looked over at Mike who was way more confused "he is your best friend right?"

"Yeah...I mean I don't know!" Mike said and Dustin quickly said "it's fine it's fine I get it"

"I didn't get here until the fourth grade and y/n didn't didn't know you existed because he used to be popular and lucas literally lived right next door" Dustin shittily reasoned why lucas and Mike were best friends

Oh yeah I almost forgot I was popular for awhile...haha how funny

"The thing that matters is that lucas is your best friend and then this girl just shows up and starts living in your basement and all you do is pay attention to her" Dustin said and Mike looked over at him, angry and said "I do not!"

"He's kinda right mike, you've only really been paying attention to el" I said looking over to Mike

"That's just a lie!" He said trying to pedal faster so he could make Dustin and I stop talking about lucas

"It's definitely true and you both know it, but instead of saying anything you just fight like goblins with an intelligence scores of zero" Dustin says making mike somehow more annoyed

"Fine he's my best friend! But so are you, will and y/n!" Mike said making Dustin snicker

"That's not possible, you can only have one bestfriend" Dustin says finally looking away from mike

"Yeah well I call bull because you guys are my bestfriends too" Mike said peddling away with Dustin closely following behind him while I had to walk
