Chat Noir and Ladybug agreed it'd be best if they slept on it, considering it had been a long night and they were both exhausted. Although, no matter how exhausted he was, he visited Marinette anyways to check on her.

When he reached her, she was getting ready for bed. He could tell how tired she was due to her slumped body and heavy eyes. Chat Noir was about to leave before she caught sight of him and allowed him in.

"Hey, you", Chat Noir smiled. "I didn't wanna bother you, I just wanted to check up on you."

Marinette rubbed her face to wake herself up. "I'm glad you're here, and that you're okay."

"I'm glad you're safe, too", Chat Noir put a strand of hair behind her ear. "Although, I really was hoping he'd get you", Chat joked.

"Good, if he did, then I wouldn't be stuck here with you", Marinette laughed sleepily.

Chat Noir laughed before dropping his silliness. "He didn't hurt you, did he?"

"No, I'm okay", Marinette grazed her arm with her hand.

Chat Noir sighed regretfully. "I knew it was a bad idea visiting you all the time. I knew it yet I still risked it", he bit his tongue and pinched the bridge of his nose. "And to think, I was angry about Luka visiting you one time."

"Hey", Marinette stopped him. "I knew the risks, too. You can't blame yourself for this."

"I should've stayed away from you", Chat Noir shook his head. "I knew being in love with you was a bad idea."

Marinette's eyes widened. "You're....in..love with me?"

Chat Noir was silent for a moment before nodding his head. "Yeah, I am."

Marinette smiled warmly. "It's not a bad idea when I get to do this", Marinette smirked before placing her lips on his.

"You always know how to calm me down, don't you?" Chat Noir grazed his thumb back and forth on her jaw.

"Kitty, it's not your fault. Please know that. He knew where I lived before you visited me anyway, right?" Marinette played with his hair.

Chat Noir sighed. "I guess you're right."

"I know I'm right", Marinette tapped the tip of his nose.

Chat Noir laughed. "You should get some sleep. It's been a rough night."

"That's what she said", Marinette joked.

"I really hate you, you know that?" Chat Noir lifted her chin with his finger.

"That kiss said otherwise", Marinette said under her breath.

"What was that?" Chat Noir turned his head toward her.

"I just said I can't wait for you to leave", Marinette joked.

"That kiss said otherwise", Chat Noir said.

Marinette gasped. "You did hear me. I should've known those cat ears could pick up anything."

"I'll say. I can hear your rapid heartbeat from here", Chat Noir crossed his arms. "Do you have a thing for me or something?"

"Nope, I'm just thinking about this guy. Tall, blond, cat suit. You may know him", Marinette shrugged.

"Ah, my copycat", Chat Noir tapped his chin. "He's a hottie, that's for sure."

"Give him a kiss for me next time you see him", Marinette laid down in bed.

"Noted", Chat Noir sat down next to her and began playing with her bangs. "See you tomorrow?"

Marinette shook her head. "Why do you always leave?"

"I have to, princess", he kissed her forehead before sitting up again. "Trust me, I don't want to leave."

"Then don't", Marinette pleaded, tugging at his arm. "Stay."

Chat Noir sighed, deep in thought. "Well, if I stay, it'd only be for a few hours. I can't stay all night."

Marinette still wasn't happy with the idea, but she knew he was doing all he could to make her happy. "Okay, a few hours is better than you leaving now."

He laid down next to her, his chin resting on the top of her head and his arm laying over her hip before both fell into sleep.
