Present day - Amazon

"Darling, you're gonna burn them!" Y/n laughed, looking at the pancakes her husband was making. "Are you saying I'm not a good cook, my love?" he asked, playfully.

"I never said that." she smiled, turning off the oven before plopping down on the couch. Druig walked up to her and laid down on the couch, his head on her chest with his legs between hers.

"I love you." she said, playing with his hair. She was the only one allowed to do so. "I love you, too." he mumbled. All of a sudden, she stopped playing with his hair, feeling familiar people nearby.

"Darling, our family's coming to visit." she smiled. He groaned, knowing he would have to get up to deal with the Eternals against his will.

Walking through the small village in the Amazon, the Eternals watched the villagers living in peace. "It's very nice here, sir." Karun, Kingo's valet, spoke, turning to the Eternal.

"Don't be fooled. Ignorance is bliss." Kingo commented, making Karun chuckle. "Hey. We're looking for Druig and Y/n. Where are they?" Sprite asked one of the villagers.

"How do you know Druig and Y/n?" the villager asked, turning around and going back to work. "We're friends from college." Sprite lied.

Once the villager turned back around, his eyes glowed in a golden color. "Hello, Sprite." he said. A door of one of the houses opened, revealing Druig and Y/n, both wearing black.

"I missed all of you. Please, make yourselves at home." he smirked, leading the Eternals into an unoccupied house after his wife had hugged all of them.

After Sersi explained to the couple what happened, Druig's arm was around Y/n's shoulder, kissing her head repeatedly while she let tears fall down her cheeks.

"You have given us a lot of bad news in one go, my lady." Druig spoke up, looking at Sersi. "Will you help us?" she asked, hopefully. "I'm glad that-" Druig started to say, only to be interrupted by Sersi's phone.

She declined the call before turning back to the others. "Hey, what's your service? I'm not getting any bars." Kingo whispered to Sersi while Thena lightly touched Gilgamesh's arm, waking him up from his nap.

"Do you all remember this forest? Beautiful. It was the last place we all lived together. We've protected these people for twenty generations now, from the outside world and from themselves. Your kind, my friend, you will be responsible for your own extinction one day. Don't you think?" Druig said, walking up to Karun.

"I think we must learn from our mistakes and do better, sir. You must not give up hope." Karun said, before his eyes, along with Druig's, turned golden and he threw his camera against a wall, breaking it.

"Oh, no, you didn't. Okay, new rule, no more possessing people's valets." Kingo said, standing up and walking up close to Druig. "Oh, where is your sense of humor, Kingo?" Druig asked with a smirk on his face.

"I'm sorry, sir." Karun spoke, his eyes back to its normal color. "Don't apologize, it's not your fault. You're not a god. You know that, right?" Kingo asked, frowning at the brunette.

"How ironic. Kingo, the movie star." Druig taunted. "I've directed some things too." Kingo spoke up in almost a whisper. "Yeah, like what?" Druig asked, suspiciously.

"Some internet content." Kingo answered. "How many views?"
"I'm not doing it for the views."

"Let's go. He's wasting our time." Ikaris said, ready to leave. "We need them." Sersi reminded her husband, though Y/n wasn't sure if the two of them could still be considered that.

"Ikaris. I missed you. Are you gonna charm me or threaten me?" Druig asked, ready to annoy his fellow Eternal. "I mean, there's a third option if you prefer that." Ikaris spoke, turning to look at Druig.

"I wouldn't push my luck, Ikaris." Y/n said, angrily. "It must be heartbreaking to find out you're not mother's favorite." Druig commented, referring to the fact that Ajak made Sersi the leader before she died.

"And I'm sure she'd be real proud of what you've been up to." Ikaris retorted. Sersi, fed up with the banter, stood up and walked up to the two male Eternals.

"Druig, this is serious." she reminded. "I'll tell you what's serious. I've just been told I've been sent on a suicide mission for the past seven thousand years, and that my entire existence is a lie. So, excuse me for not giving a shit about your plan right now." Druig said, walking out of the house to calm down afterwards.

"Druig sucks." Kingo grumbled, Karun agreeing. "No, he doesn't. He's just overwhelmed. You've just told us all of these bad news. We've been living on this planet for seven thousand years, thinking we were protecting the people, when in reality, we were putting them in danger. Plus, you've given us these news on our wedding anniversary." Y/n explained, turning to walk after her husband.

"Y/n, I'm sorry. I didn't know." Sersi spoke, but Y/n just raised her hand as if to say she shouldn't apologize, following Druig.

"Darling, where are you?" she called out, knowing Druig would be up in a tree to think. Suddenly, his head appeared in front of her, upside down.

"Oh, my god. What are you doing?" she laughed, realizing he was hanging from the tree upside down, his legs placed on a branch. "Looking at my beautiful wife."

"You know, that was really cheesy." she smiled, taking his face in her hands. "Maybe, but you love me anyway." he spoke, cockily. "Yes, I do." she admitted before kissing him, Druig still upside down.

All of a sudden, screams could be heard from the village. "Deviants." she breathed out as she pulled away, running to the village, followed by her husband.
