Arriving at the village, Y/n saw Sersi about to get attacked by a Deviant. Using her powers, she formed stone around the creature's paws, making it unable to move.

Druig controlled the people so they would shoot the Deviant, endangering them. Some of them got injured before Druig arrived, jumping over the creature and grabbing a gun.

He jumped over the Deviant once again, shooting its neck while doing so. Sersi turned a part of a tree into water, the rest into solid metal and Y/n let it crash on the Deviant.

"Druig! Let them go!" Sersi exclaimed, running up to the brunette Eternal. "Now is not the time, Sersi." he panted, looking around for his wife to see if she was alright.

"Please. I know you're better than this." Sersi said, grabbing his arms. He spotted his wife a few feet away, panting slightly before she nodded, telling him to obey.

He sighed before raising his arm, stopping the control of the people. "Druig, what's happening?" one of the men asked in Spanish. "Go! Get to the river!" Druig ordered in English.

The people obeyed, leaving the village. The Deviant that had been trapped under the tree was able to get free, walking towards the three Eternals.

Y/n was able to stop it with her powers, creating a fire in her palms and shooting at the creature. It screamed in agony before Ikaris arrived, shooting blasters in its mouth and killing it.

He flew off again to help Kingo and Sprite, attacking the remaining Deviant. It trapped him so he couldn't fight anymore and was about to kill him, only for Sersi to save him.

The creature attacked her and, along with Sersi, fell into a pool of water. Underwater, Sersi touched its face and turned it into a giant tree before stepping out of the water.

Druig ran up to his wife, seeing an injury on her waist. "Are you okay?" he asked. "Yes. Are you?" she asked, placing her hands on his cheeks. He nodded, pulling her in for a kiss.

When they pulled away, he could see the pained expression on her face. "What's wrong?" he asked. "It's Gilgamesh." she answered before running off into the woods, the other Eternals following.

When they arrived, Thena was crying next to Gilgamesh's body, his skin now an unhealthy gray color. "I'll remember." Thena sobbed, laying her head on his chest.

Later that day, the Eternals burned Gilgamesh's body while Karun spoke a prayer for his soul. Y/n was leaning against Druig's body, tears flowing down her cheeks. It was the second friend she'd lost on her 1500th wedding anniversary.

Once the sun started rising, Thena and Y/n walked into the river knee-deep so Thena could throw Gilgamesh's ashes into the river. While watching his wife, Sersi walked up next to Druig.

"When we left, I thought about taking over the minds of every human on this planet. Violence, fear, greed, all gone." Druig told her, turning to the brunette Eternal.

"Why didn't you?" Sersi asked. Druig smiled slightly before looking back to his wife. "Because she makes me a better person. And because without their flaws, they wouldn't be human." he explained.

"Please, Druig. You can't stay here anymore. You can't protect her if you stay here. These Deviants are trying to keep us from killing their own kind. They have a conscience now. That makes them more dangerous." Sersi said, trying to convince Druig.

"No, Sersi. She's very capable of protecting herself. Also, that makes them us. Eternals and Deviants. Arishem's children. But you are asking me to take control of a mind of a Celestial. I do not have that kind of power." Druig spoke.

"We'll need Phastos." Sersi stated. "Well, good luck. He gave up on humans a long time ago." Druig said, opening his arms as Y/n walked up to him.

"Phastos? Oh, no. He has not given up on them." she smiled, kissing her husband's cheek who raised his eyebrows.
