Book Two: Take It All or Leave Behind Everything

                                                            The Calm Before the Storm

"Damn it, why do i have to actually go to the head office?" Lou yelled at Brian from behind his desk. "I always join in on their boring lame ass group Zoom chats, isn't that enough?"
    "Louis, it has been almost a year since you took over Christopher's businesses and you have yet to meet the people on the Styles/ Tomlinson company board in person. They were bound to make you come to California eventually. Let's just go and get it over with."
   Brian had quit his job three months back to come work with Louis as his assistant. Louis still had Tanya to help out with big corporate things whereas Brian was now the one who went to go visit the companies on the east coast and dealt with the small problems if any arose. He also oversaw Louis' local businesses as well, even the bar. Louis had a lot of free time on his hands now, even after what he needed to do on his end of everything was done. Don't worry though he was putting it to very good use.
   Sighing deeply, Louis sat back in his chair to look out the big picture windows to the green yard and trees behind his house. "It's not them i have a problem meeting with." Louis says still with the hurt he's been carrying around with him since that night Harry abandoned him at the rest stop with just a note and no words from him since then.
    "Louis, it has been six months, you know what i am going to tell you." Brian looked at him just waiting to have to repeat himself for the thousandth time to him.
    "Yeah, yeah i know, fuck him." Louis says with a slight smile.
    "Yes!" Brian yelled at him as he slammed both his fist down on Lou's desktop. "FUCK HIM!" Brian yelled again, making them both laugh.
    "You are past him. Everything you've done in these last six months to change your life is going to make the rest of it even better. Stop looking back when you have so many other things to look forward to."
   He knew he should be proud of himself the way Brian is of him, but he still does not think he has done enough yet in his life. He has kept himself so busy and he's started so many things, all just to keep his mind off of both missing Christopher and being pissed at Harry.
   Brian sensed he was going back into a dark hole and came over to sit on his lap and hug him.
    "You always seem to have the right words to say to me." He kissed Brian on the top of his head and hugged him back. "What would i ever do without you?"
    "Sleep by yourself?" Brian laughed and picked Louis' chin up to kiss him. Louis gave into him and pulled him closer. Running his hand across his thigh.
   "I like the new stubble you're trying to grow. You almost look like an adult male now." Brian said as he went to touch Lou's face when Louis pushed him off of him almost making him hit the floor.
   "Wow, i could have you arrested for assault for that." Brain laughed, catching himself and standing up straight again.
   "And i could have you fired for sexual harassment at the workplace." Lou winked at him.
   "You would too, wouldn't you?"
   "No, because then i'd have to sleep by myself." He held his hands out for Brian to sit back down on his lap. "How am i going to get through this oh wise one." Needing answers Lou hoped Brian would help him with.

    "Fuck him?" Brian lost it as Louis rolled his eyes then pushed him hard off his lap this time and he hit the floor with a hard thud.
    "You're going with me, aren't you?" Louis suddenly was scared he was going to have to face Harry alone.
    "Yes dear. Should i book the jet, or will we be flying like peasants?" He asked him from the floor.
    "Why don't we take the RV? I have more than enough time before i have to be back and all my marketing classes are online." Louis suggested, hoping Brian would say, 'yes', because he hates leaving the kids behind and loves being in the RV he bought about a week after he returned the last one.
    "You have time, but some of us have to work."
    "Since i am such a nice boss, i am going to let you bring it all with you and we can work out of the RV." Louis was about to beg him. "Come on Brian, we mostly work out of the office here at home anyway."
    "Wow really? That is so nice of you Mr. Scrooge. Tiny Tim will miss me so much though." Brian replied sarcastically and Louis got up to tackle him, but Brian jumped up off the floor and ran away from him.
   They chased each other through the kitchen and down the hallways until Louis tackled him on the living room couch. Both laughing with tears in their eyes as they pecked at each other's lips.
    "Pleeeeeeaaaaaase?" Louis stopped to plead with him as he gave him the saddest puppy dog eyes ever. He knew they melted Brian's heart and got him his way every time he used them.
    "Fine, i will go. But you are paying for everything."
    "So, i am going to be your boss and your sugar daddy?" Louis asked and kissed him again.
    "Yes, Daddy!" Brian flipped them on the couch and held Louis' hands over his head. "And if i am bad and don't finish my work for the day, you can spank me." Going right for his neck to taste that part on Lou's skin, Brian knows sets him off.
   They spent a good fifteen minutes making out on the couch when Louis stopped them.
    "Enough for the day?" Brian sincerely asked him lifting up off of him to let Louis sit up.
    "Thank you." Lou said and gave him one last peck as they both stood up and fixed themselves.
    "I will be right back." Brian said as he ran to the bathroom.
