As Harry and Louis locked eyes down the long hallway, Harry hugged the wolf pup tighter and asked loud enough so that Lou could hear, putting all his emotions behind it. "Did you miss me?"
Louis stood up straight and froze in place, not knowing if Harry was asking Ghost or wanting an answer from him. He felt Brian stand up next to him and take his fingers into his hand.
Softly he whispered into Lou's ear. "Breathe. Just breathe. Remember, take that minute if you need it."
Louis gave his hand a quick squeeze and held onto it as he did just that. Long breath in. Long breath out. He did this a few times, straightened his spine to stand up as tall as he could, then him and Brian started walking together down the hallway.
"Sorry, he got away from us. Ghost, come." Louis said calmly to the pup, who only snuggled himself up closer to Harry. "GHOST! COME!" Louis yelled at him as Harry put the wolf pup down and held out the hold for Louis to take back, but it was Brian who stepped up and took it. Louis just turned around and started to try to find his way back to the conference room Toothless and Ludo were still in. Brian thanked Harry and followed Lou, trying to pull Ghost with him. The little pup did not want to go and leave Harry though. Reluctantly he did as he was told and followed Brian, but he yelped and cried the whole time, wanting to go back to Harry or for Harry to follow them.
Only Harry hung his head and walked back towards his office. After slamming the door shut, he picked up the closest thing to him and threw it as hard as he could. The glass vase and fresh flowers shattered and flew into hundreds of pieces that went everywhere around the room.
'Why the fuck is he here? He said he would never come here.'
He lost it as he took another step in and thought of how Louis just basically walked away from him.
'Why does he have Ghost? Where are Ludo and Toothless?'
Harry began to pick other things up and throw them at the walls of his office without caring what they were. Glass and other broken parts began to cover the wooden floor, the shards sending colors bouncing off around the office.
'BRIAN! Why the fuck is Brian here holding his god damn hand
and whispering shit about me to him in his ear.'
Harry lifted the office couch up and flipped it over. Grabbing the pillows that fell off of it to start ripping them apart.
'Louis fuckin listen to him to. He fuckin listened.'
Slumping against the big picture window of his office and bawling like a newborn as his emotions poured out and overwhelmed him.
Herb took a chance and knocked on the office door when he no longer heard Harry destroying his office.
"Go the fuck away." Harry brokenly screamed.
"Sir the board is meeting in conference room 4. Your presence is requested Sir." Herb tried again.
Harry went to open the door and roared at the top of his lungs in the most terrifying voice.              "Leave me the fuck alone and tell them to all go screw themselves." Seething he slammed the door right in Herb's face just as he was about to say something else. He went to knock again but stopped as he heard Harry start breaking more things.
The voices in Harry's head were loud. He could not get them to go away and leave him alone now. Walking over to the mini fridge Harry had in his office he grabbed the only thing that was keeping him even semi alive and able to deal with these last six months, an almost empty bottle of rum. He drank down the rest of it, looked at the bottle like how dare it be empty.
'They are together now Harry. Accept it.'
It was like the empty bottle was taunting him now.
"Shut the fuck up!" He screamed then threw it against the wall behind his now overturned office couch.
Out of breath and unable to see where he was walking to because of the tears and all his unkempt scraggly hair falling into his face, Harry stumbled back to his desk chair and flopped down burying his head in his hands trying to make sense out of it all.
'It was your choice Harry, you left him. Left him in a parking lot with just a note.
Now you have to face the consequences of your dumb ass actions.'
He could though. He could make it through two days. That's all he needed was two days and then Louis would leave. That is all he ever spends at a place. Two days. Right?
The thought occurred to him that Louis was only going to be there for like two days, going by when he goes to his companies. If he misses seeing him at the board meeting, he will lose his chance completely of even talking to him. This scared the shit out of Harry. Never seeing Louis again isn't something that sat right with him.
