Every day with him was heaven, we enjoyed every destination we went to together in the summer break, to the point that I didn't want to be away from his arms. This was the day.

I smiled as my Dad was leading the way. We talked everything out, and now we're in good terms. The both of us we're just grieving because of how mom left us, and we had our own ways on how to cope with the pain kaya siya naging sobrang higpit sa'kin. I understood him because I remembered what Angel told me before.

"He treasures you, Elara. Trust me."

Mag-sstay pa siya sa'kin sa States for a short while then he'll come back here in the Philippines para 'di ako ma-homesick at para ma-guide niya ako which I really appreciated.

Dad was talking to someone on the phone while standing infront of me kaya I minded my own business and brought out my phone instead.

To: Juan

Natatakot ako. Ayaw ko nang umalis. Gusto ko na lang sa tabi mo. Nasaan ka na? :(

From: Juan

From: Juan

Maybe he was saying sorry because he was a bit late?

To: Juan

It's okay! Hindi mo kailangan mag-sorry, naiintindihan ko. I love you so much.

"Hello, tito!" I greeted him with excitement.

"Elara, hija..."

"Nasaan po si Juan? Baka po kasi 'di niya ako maabutan, nangako po siya that he'll see me off, na-traffic po ba siya?" I was gritting my teeth because of worry. Well, I hugged him a lot before I left the house, pero 'di pa sapat sa'kin 'yon.

"H-Hindi na makakapunta diyan si Juan." I got scared with what he said.

"Ano pong ibig sabihin niyo, Tito?"

He was rushing.

My tears were falling down my cheeks.

"Elara, are you okay?"

"S-Sorry. I c-can't go. H-Hindi na ako pupunta sa States, Dad."
