[Seattle, Washington. Friday,
December 25, 2037.]

Stomach lurching, Y/n L/n let out a breathless sigh as she lay there — defenceless and vulnerable — in Yuzuki's arms who seemed to be yielding towards the idea of not letting go. It was hopeless. Every time that she would make an excuse, he would dismiss it as nerves. Yuzuki wasn't born yesterday. He knew that she was trying to get away from him.

"Yuzuki..." she started, quietly, which prompted him to offer his owner a small hum in response. "Please let me go." She delicately ordered.

"No." He was acting like a complete man child as he cradled Y/n, nuzzling into the crook of her neck.

"Stop it," she hissed, partly in anger and the other in pain. Yuzuki only seemed to hear the discomfort though, loosening his grip ever so slightly and bringing your hand to his lips as if he were about to kiss her pain away. Before he did though, Y/n turned her head to the side.

"How long are you planning to keep up this tantrum? You should be thanking me." He growled, his irritation bubbling to the surface as Y/n winced which caused Yuzuki to stroke the back of her hand with his thumb.

"As long as it takes," she had tried to explain to him. "For you to realize that you can't treat me like this, especially after you killed Koike." None of her words seemed to register with him though, that is, except for the last one.

"You shall not speak of his name no longer, N/n," Yuzuki's jaw clenched. "He's dead and will forever be dead. He deserved it. It was only a matter of time before he reaped what he sowed." Sighing at his single-mindedness, Y/n shook her head.

It was painstakingly clear that she won't be getting anything she wanted anytime soon. 'I could always wait for him to fall asleep,' Y/n began devising a plan as she shifted uncomfortably in his arms. 'I will have to be careful and extremely quiet. I don't have time to dispose of Koike's body or pack my bags. I just need to get out of here.' She continued pondering. It was her safest bet. Y/n didn't want to engage in hand combat with him or even try a hit and run since she acknowledges the fact that Yuzuki would soon catch up with her.

"What are you thinking about?" The neko's voice pierced through her deep concentration, tearing her away from her trance-like state.

"Oh," she looked down at the ground and subconsciously shrugged her shoulders. "It's nothing." Y/n dismissed the neko.

"Doesn't look that way." He protested, his gaze never leaving her figure. Yuzuki was leading her into a trap. The trick was to not get defensive and bitter since that would only confirm his suspicions. Y/n huffed, "Just trying to process all of this, that's all." She partially lied. It was a poor reply but Y/n simply wanted to get Yuzuki off her back.

"I see," Yuzuki examined his owner's body language for a brief moment before planting a gentle kiss on her cheek, making a noise to represent his happiness when doing the action. "I hope you're coming to terms with it."

Y/n tried her best to ignore Yuzuki's affectionate advances for the sake of her well-being. Gulping, "Well..." she started. "I am not comfortable with him lying there. The area needs to be cleaned up," she tried to word it in a way for the neko to take a hint that it was his responsibility. Or rather a justification for tiring him out further for her attempted escape. "Would you please..." she trailed off, shifting her body a little bit to meet his gaze.

Leaning his head back, Yuzuki's Adam's apple became more prominent as he groaned. "Yeah, I guess I can clean it up for you," He pulled her closer into his body. "Just because you asked nicely, of course." Yuzuki was impressed by Y/n's good behaviour.

Despite saying this, it took Yuzuki several minutes to act on his word since he was caught up in the moment. Not only could he believe that he won a physical fight, but he was holding the most enchanting and beautiful woman that he has ever set eyes on — and that's saying a lot, given that Yuzuki was practically homeless for months on end. He has seen a great many things in his time but nothing compared to the sensation Y/n gave him. He has never felt such a thing before.

He lingers on every word she utters, Yuzuki adores how caring and welcoming she was to him, she spent a whole bunch of money on him for the sake of him being comfortable and/or to show Yuzuki her hospitality, there was just so much to talk about! He could ramble about Y/n for hours on end if given the chance, despite only knowing her for such a short period.

Soon, Y/n felt Yuzuki slowly let go of her and approach Hideaki Koike's corpse and then began to drag him towards the front door. Y/n watched as a pool of crimson blood escaped from his wound, making a trail. She gagged at the sight and turned away as she began to wildly look around her apartment while Yuzuki was distracted, Y/n had the option to arm herself.

While this did seem like a good decision, in the long run, she had to reject it since she knew that Yuzuki was bound to overhear her grab some sort of weapon or feel its shape when holding onto her. It was too risky of a move. She didn't want to gamble on losing the falsified truth that she started to gain with the neko. It may seem toxic and manipulative from a third-party perspective, but Y/n knew that they've reached the point of no return.

If she didn't act now, she will be stuck with Yuzuki for the rest of her life.
