[Seattle, Washington. Friday,
December 25, 2037.]

Hesitantly standing to her feet, Y/n L/n the muscles in her legs twitch uncontrollably, shaking due to the high levels of adrenaline coursing through her. Carefully observing Yuzuki's movements, she watched him disappear while he exited her small apartment.

Quietly tip-toeing over to the front door, creeping, Y/n peeked around the corner to see that Yuzuki was nowhere in sight. 'He's probably finding a ditch to hide Koike's body.' She frowned when she came to this assumption. She knew that this would be her only chance to make a grand escape, to slip through his fingers, but Y/n found her body unable to move. She just couldn't.

And the truth of the matter is that Y/n was petrified of the idea of her being caught red-handed. She acknowledged the risks and possible consequences of Yuzuki catching her, but she had to try. She took a backpack and slung it over her shoulder, strictly filling it with necessities for her trip. She did not know how long she was going to be on the road. "Okay..." she whispered under her breath, her breath rigged as she took a step out of her flat.

Y/n stomped through the rain in the middle of the night, her backpack filled to the brim was starting to get soaked, but she did not care. She was just glad to be out of that hellhole. The water collected in her shoes and sloshed around with every step, Y/n just kept walking, letting the night take her wherever it pleased.

Unbeknownst to her, Yuzuki had always suspected that his owner would take such unnecessary precautions and decided to follow her. He perched on the edge of the road and observed what especially she was doing. Just by her body language, the neko could note that she was fuming with indescribable rage. "Hm..." he tilted his head to the side as he observed her mannerisms.

Without wasting another thought, Yuzuki rushed towards Y/n's apartment to retrieve the biggest umbrella he could find before sprinting back out to return to his owner. He ran down the street for blocks, just trying to catch up with her. Eventually, he did, and he was soaking wet as well. The neko never liked the rain, made him feel disgusting and it ruined his hair. He couldn't let the open umbrella hold him back, so he didn't open it.

Once he caught up with you, confusion and fear flooded her thoughts. "Yuzuki? How did you know where I was... wha... what are you doing here?" Y/n berated, backing away slowly. Yuzuki finally manage to open the umbrella and held it above both of them.

"I had to see you," he quietly spoke. He must've calmed down since his personality and the way he spoke threw Y/n for a loop. "I knew you'd try and run away. I couldn't help it." Yuzuki voiced his concern.

"I ran away to get away from you."

"I understand. You're afraid of me..." Yuzuki looked down, his eyebrows knitted together as he tried desperately to suppress his sorrow when Y/n brought this to his attention. "Truth is, I never liked Koike. During our fight, I would've taken a knife and slit him from groin to sternum if I had the chance, but I knew you would see me as a monster if I did that... I didn't want to lose you." He had a twisted view of love, much less common courtesy.

"No, Yuzuki," Y/n let out an aggravated huff when he spoke ill of Hideaki. "Because you can't lose something that you never had." She uttered, bitterly.

Yuzuki stared at her with an expression mixed with confusion, regret, and sadness. "I have loved you ever since I first laid eyes on you," he confessed to falling in love too terribly hard with the h/c-haired girl. "Please tell me that you feel the same." He begged.

"I can't..."

"And why is that?" Yuzuki whined and Y/n watched as his knuckles that were wrapped around the umbrella turned white, indicating that he was slowly but surely becoming furious with her. "What are you trying to say?" He continued with his numerous questions.

"I don't love you, Yuzuki. Do you hear me? I never did and I never will..." Y/n spoke up for herself, straightening her posture to show that she was no longer going to submit to him and his freakish, delusional picture of passion.

His once sympathetic face slowly transitioned to resemble a stoic one as he threw the umbrella to the side. "Fine, but do not blame me for this. You asked for this." Yuzuki said out of the blue and advanced towards Y/n. "Stay away from me." His owner let out a small gasp upon seeing that he was going to take her by force. To get what he wanted. The results he expected.

"N/n, please? I know you feel the same way..." Yuzuki cooed but, after seeing that manipulating wouldn't work on S/n Y/n, his eyes narrowed.

"You really want to leave? Fine, let's see how far you get."
