Chapter 7
The night after our kiss, Eddie and I wasted no time spending every waking moment in each other's embrace. Before school, we'd make out in his van. During school, we'd make out in the AV closet. After school, we'd make out in my bedroom and during band practice, we'd sneak off and find somewhere else to make out. None of our friends knew that we were seeing each other and we acted like normal when we were around anyone else. Especially my dad.
Eddie and I were making out in my bedroom one day when I heard a noise.
"What was that?" I asked.
"Nothing. It's nothing." Eddie replied as he continued to kiss me.
I listened again to the noise. This time I heard car keys jangle and my name being called. "Shit. It's my dad!" I whispered. I pushed Eddie off of me and he quickly jumped off the bed and onto the floor, grabbed his school textbook, and pretended he was doing homework. My dad knocked on my door.
"Come in," I replied. I fixed my hair quickly and adjusted my shirt.
"Hey, dad," I said. My dad looked at them both suspiciously. I gave him a smile. "What are you kids doing?" He asked.
"Homework. What are you doing at home? Something happen at the warehouse?" I asked him trying to quickly switch his attention.
"No. I had to pick something up here that I forgot." He said as he held up a work folder.
