Chapter 8
It was our first Christmas in Hawkins. School was almost out for break and I was so excited because Amy and Priscilla were visiting. It's been months since I've seen them and I'm in need of some real girl time.
"So you and your dad are going to pick Amy and me up at the airport up right?" Priscilla asked over the phone.
"Yes. When does your plane land again?" I asked.
"We get there Saturday at 4:30 pm." Priscilla replied.
"We'll be there."
School was going well too. I was passing all of my classes. Dad was happy I was doing better but we still hadn't discussed my want to return to California for college just yet.
Eddie and I were really good too. We were Hawkins Highs' official new couple, Eddie had asked me to be his girlfriend finally one night while we were doing homework.
"I made you some flashcards to help you study for the test in Mr. Dent's class." I handed him the stack of flash cards.
This was a couple of weeks ago and by this point, we had sex a few more times but still weren't calling it a relationship.
"Ugh! Mr. Dents. This is the second time I'm taking this test." He sighed.
"I know, hence the flashcards," I replied.
"I can't fail this test. If I fail, I fail the semester and if I fail the semester then there's a good chance I won't have enough credits and I won't graduate." Eddie hadn't been doing too well in school.
