The pouring rain, my rocking chair
A hot cup of tea, a fresh page on the diaryMy thoughts hover above me
The day seemingly endless like the seaQuiet and still it's waiting for me
To catch all my sweet dreamsAs if the clouds in the sky all do know
An imperishable bliss can not be bestowedAs long as heaven is a place up above
So they say "Sweet child dream all you wantTill life comes in and you've nowhere to run"
Oh and when that time finally cameA raindrop fell off from the eaves
Waking me up from a delightful reverie
To a haunting night sky,
a fading highAnd a quiet page just staring at me
In hopes of being painted with sunlit dreams
As my mind forgot all that my eyes had seen
