MINI AUTHORS NOTE: This chapter contains flashbacks to earlier parts of Scarlett's life. We will find out what Wanda is experiencing in the next update. Scarlett is a variant of Wanda, thus her memories will not be like the MCU Wanda we know and love. Scarlett really needs therapy too.
Scarlett watched as Wanda flew back and fell unconscious once more.
It was all my fault
It was all my fault
This is all my fault.
Overwhelmed by emotion and suppressed memories, Scarlett collapsed.

Rain.
The distant pitter-patter of the falling drops on a thin metal roof.
Tink. Tink. Tink.
The only light, a faint red flashing light, on the side of a black bomb.
And written on the side of the bomb, was the fancy lettering: Stark Industries.
The flashing grew faster. And faster.
Then the bomb blew up.
A little girl and a little boy were thrown back with the blast. They landed heavily, the girl was scratched and hurt. The boy was dead.
But despite her injuries, the little girl crawled her way over to the boy. She shook his shoulders trying to wake him.
"Pietro"
"Wake up, Pietro"
"Pietro, why won't you wake up?"
"Pietro!"
Scarlett watched, frozen, as her brother died in front of her for a second time. There was nothing she could do but try to push the memory from her head, try to forget that she ever had a brother to lose. Try to forget she lost anyone.
The little girl was sobbing into her brother's jacket.
"I'm sorry"
"I couldn't save you"
"This is my fault"

SLAP
Scarlett flinched as she hear the sound. She wanted desperately to close her eyes and cover her ears to shut out the memory but she couldn't move. She was powerless to help, she could only watch.
SLAP
A smaller Scarlett cried out in pain, her cheek red. An older, severely faced woman stood over the weeping child with her arm out for the next slap.
"Child. What did you do wrong?" she asked Scarlett
"I don't know!" cried out Scarlett, tears flowing down her face like a waterfall.
SLAP
"You know exactly what you did!" shouted the older woman.
"No I don't!" sobbed Scarlett.
SLAP
"WANDA MAXIMOFF! YOU STOLE FOOD FROM THE KITCHENS" bellowed the woman.
"I'm sorry, I was told it was okay." cried the little girl.
