1. Change

The Potters were graced with their second child Harry James Potter on 31st July 1980. He is the spitting image of James with Lily's eyes. Three years earlier Azalea Eleneanor Potter was born on this same day. She had her father's hair and her mother's emerald eyes. For the four years of her life, she had known the love of her parents but everything changed on the 31st of October, 1981 just because of one false prophecy.

With the birth of Azalea, Dumbledore knew that the small girl was powerful. She had even greater powers than the Leader of Light himself and she had a dark aura. Dumbledore for the 'greater good' did something which forever changed the life of Azalea Eleneanor Potter.

Timeskip

James and Lily asked Peter Pettigrew to babysit their children while they went to talk with Sirius and Remus in black manor.

"You sure you would be alright with the children?" Lily asked Peter once they reached the living room.

"Ofcourse", he told her while internally cackling for whats to come.

"Thanks mate for agreeing to babysit ", James said to his friend and the Potter couple left the rat animagus in their cottage. Unknown to the two siblings sound asleep, it didn't take longer than ten minutes for their home to be infiltrated by an unwanted guest.

"Ah, right on time then", Peter muttered, glancing at the clock.
"Glad to know the old man has a track of time"

With a loud crash, the front door burst open revealing Albus Dumbledore, the supposedly Leader of Light followed by an imperiod Voldermort. They both went to the nursery and Dumbledore quickly tried to eliminate the four year old girl. Just as The old coot tried to mutter the killing curse, The Dark Lord broke out of the curse and quickly tried to shield his beloved soulmate when the curse hit him square in the chest. With an agonizing scream he fell to the ground and disappeared. Dumbledore them tried to kill Azalea only for the curse to crash with an powerful shield.

Just then several pops were heard and Dumbledore apparated out not before stunning Pettigrew. The Potters, Black and Lupin rushed to the house only to find the nursery destroyed.

"Lea, Harry!!!" Sirius called not bothering to temper his voice as he and Lily sprinted up the stairs while James and Remus quickly tended to Peter. As soon as they realized that he was only stunned they joined the others.

"Oh my babies", Lily was sobbing as she hugged her son while holding the tiny fist of her daughter who was held in the arms of Sirius. "Thank merlin you are safe"

"What has happened?" was asked by the familiar grandfatherly tone a few moments later, all four jumping at the startling sound having completely forgotten that Sirius had sent off a Patronus to the headmaster as soon as the home's alarm charm went off during their Samahain celebration.

"Voldermort attacked my babies!" Lily choked out, her face and eyes bright red from crying.

Albus Dumbledore scanned the room with an intense gaze before taking Harry proudly and declared him the Boy-who-lived.

They ran some scans to check Harry while barely sparing a glance at Azalea. Sirius asked "What about Azalea?"

Dumbledore barely glanced at the girl before saying " That girl has dark magic surrounded"

Lily and James froze. James asked "What do we do Albus?" with a tinge of fear in his voice along with Lily which didn't go unnoticed by Sirius and Remus.

Sirius, who was greatly confused by the question, furrowed his brow and voiced his opinion "What do you mean by 'What do we do' ? You raise her Ofcourse. She is your daughter."

Both of them were starting to get a sick feeling in the pit of his stomach.

Dumbledore saw this as an opportunity to get rid of Azalea. He made it seem like he was thinking and said "Maybe we can leave her with your sister Lily?" Sirius and Remus turned their gaze towards The Headmaster and the Potters with disgust and hatred. "We have to James, Lily. Harryis the Boy-who-lived, he will get famous while Azalea will grow up being jealous"

Both of them couldn't believe what they were hearing. It was well known among the five about how much hatred Petunia holds for magical beings and it shocked them to the core when the Potters agreed to it. Remus's wolf was growling to come out while Sirius was fuming with rage and the black family's magic was cackling around him.

While the rest were packing Azalea's clothes and writing a letter to leave with her, Sirius qnd Remus's magic flared around dangerously causing the three of the adults to freeze and Harry to whimper. Fear came out of all the three when Sirius spoke in a cold and angry voice that did nothing to control his rage whereas Remus had a hard time to control his wolf "Our Goddaughter isn't going anywhere. If you cannot raise her we will"

James tried to take a step forward but froze on seeing the piercing glares of cold steel and amber eyes which held so much fury and hatred. "But Padfoot, Moony you don't want her. She is dark" James voice for the first time shook in his life, his bestfriends were scaring him.

Remus growled out in rage and Sirius's magic flared out dangerously at that statement which suffocated the rest of the three and the temperature of the room dropped. Remus said "We don't care if she is dark. She is our Goddaughter and we will take care of her better than you, YOU SHITTY EXCUSE OF FATHER!"

This scared Harry and he flinched. Lily stepped up and said "Stop you are scaring Harry. She is dark and we won't keep her close to Harry, it is dangerous for him"

Both men were shocked on seeing this side of their friends while Dumbledore was enjoying the show as he was successful in manipulating the Potters. He said " Now my dear boys as much as I know it pains you to stay apart from Azalea it needs to be done. For the greater good"

Remus and Sirius's magic flared dangerously in dark waves making all the adults knock off their feets. Sirius took out his wand followed by Lupin and said : "I, Sirius Orion Black, Lord to the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black hereby sever Black Family Alliance with The House of Potter save Azalea Eleneanor Potter and invoke a blood fued against Lord James Fleamont Potter and Lady Lily Jean Potter née Evans for willful abandonment of their daughter and seclusion of my rights as Godfather to one Azalea Eleneanor Potter. So mote it be. " The tip of his wand flared brightly nearly blinding everyone in the room as Remus did the same echoing the oath changing the name and house to fit House of Lupin.

With this they took Azalea with them and apparated whereas The Potters overcome their shock and went on with their lives as if nothing happened. From that day onward everything changed for Azalea Eleneanor Potter now Black.
