Chapter 9 : The Stars

Chapter 9

Percy's third person POV

After an extraordinary night ended, they started to get tired and started to get tired.

Percy was already half asleep like a dolphin when Jason suggested that they should sleep.

Leo was already asleep anyway.

And while all of them were getting ready for bed, Percy had other plans in mind.

After making sure that everybody was asleep, he went to over to Annabeth and whispered into her ear,

"Come to the roof and meet me there"

He hurried to the roof and after pacing back and forth on the roof several times, the door finally opened to see that Annabeth was standing there looking very beautiful.

'Get yourself together Jackson, she got a boyfriend.'
"Hi Annabeth. Care to join me?"
"Sure" Annabeth said with a smile on her face.

She sat down next to Percy and stared up at the stars.

They sat long in silence until Percy decided to break it.

He shared his side of the perspective and talked about his life after Annabeth left him. His feelings and actions were all shared. By the time he finished, Annabeth was sobbing.

"Are you okay Annabeth?" He whispered to her.

"I-I didn't know you felt that way. I always thought you never wanted to talk to me again and dumped me."

Then it was time for Annabeth to share her side of the story.

ANd after her story, they were both shedding tears.

"The stars are beautiful tonight isn't it seaweed brain?" Annabeth asked, looking up at the stars.

"Yes they are. Just like you." Percy replied back.

And as soon as he said it, he blushed just realizing what he had said. Annabeth blushed too much about his comment.

"Percy, do you ever miss the old days where we would go on quests?" Annabeth asks.

"Yeah I guess. I never really thought about it." Percy answered, looking uncertain.

"Well, I miss them too." Annabeth said, resting her head on Percy's shoulder.And they just sat like that for a long time until they finally fell asleep. Cuddling each other
