The leader of the grey beards looked up into the sky and shouted, calling Odahviing from wherever he was in Skyrim. "Wow I can't believe i'm going to get to see where you live." Miraak stated as he bumped into me with is shoulder. "Well I have seen where you live...or lived."
A massive roar emitted from the clouds above and this time I was actually happy to hear it because it meant I would get to go back to my home. Odahviing came crashing down from the skies and I ran over and hugged him by the neck. The dragon chuckled, "Its good to see you dragonborn, are you ready to go home?"
"Its really good to see you." I said as I ran over to Miraak and dragged him over towards my dragon friend. "As you can see this is Miraak and I know I was going to go and kill him but things have changed so he is my acquaintance so you will be flying us both down."
"As you wish dovakiin."
I smiled as I walked over to the dragons back, just in front of the wings and I realised that there was no easy way to do this, I moved closer to the dragon and tried to haul myselfup with one of the spikes on his back but with no use. Suddenly I felt hands around my waist and I looked back so see that it was Miraak, he smirked as our eyes met and I knew my mouth was slightly open as he lifted me up onto the back of the dragon, and he climbed up surprisingly fast sitting behind me. I felt my ears and cheeks start to heat up but it had to be the cold air, right?
Odahviing then started to beat his wings and we were in the air "BYE PAARTHURNAX." I shouted over the roar of the wind as we shot into the air. I made sure to hold onto one on the dragons spikes as we started to climb in altitude, the freezing snow hitting my face like arrows. As we got higher I felt it in my stomach as we were about to dive down, and to my surprise I also felt Miraak wrap his arms around my waist to hold on too.
We flew so fast I could hardly catch my breath, the air rushing into my lungs to fast. Although it didn't seem like it, that was my freedom as we levelled of I spread my arms either side of me and just screamed, screamed of joy. I didn't care what Miraak thought, this was what is was really like and I didn't care if he saw. I could almost hear the smile in his voice as he asked "Wow, you really do like flying, don't you."
We started to slow down so I returned one hand to the back of the dragon, the scales slightly grazing my hand. My other hand I held out and ran it through the clouds, the cool mist wet on my hand.
Befor I knew it, Odahviing was back up in the air and my feet were planted firmly on the ground my shoes sinking into the mud, it must have been raining I thought. I looked up at my house, the yellow tiled roof, almost glowing in the light of the sunset, and my door welcoming me home.
"So is this your house then?"
"Yeah, its not much but it's home."
I walked over to the door and wen't inside Miraak following close behind me.
"Ooooh, I can show you around, I haven't done that before. Come on." I knew I must have sounded irritatingly exited but i continued anyway, grabbing his hand and pulling him with me.
"Ok, ok, let me just take my coat off." He stated. I looked away for some reason.
"Miraak, when did you change your shirt." I asked as I turned around and he was wearing a black shirt instead of the white one he was rearing earlier. "I got it in Ivarstead, why?"
"No reason. So this is the hall. And this is the dining room." Suddenly a loud bark came from upstairs and Bran came running down. "Bran." I screamed as I ran over to my dog hugging him around the neck, him liking my face. "Have you missed me Bran." i petted him on the head. "Have you been a good boy for Lydia."
"Who is Lydia?"
"She is a friend of mine," I then got distracted by Bran again "yes she is a very very gooood frienddd of mine isn't she Bran, yes she is, yes she is" Realising that had gone straight to talking in a squeaky voice at my dog I stood up a little embarrassed.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to go all squeaky then."
"Its fine. Hay who is a good boy, are you good boy." He said as Bran wen't over to him and he started to pat him on the head. "Actualy, Alye I think we both may need a lesson on speaking normally around really cute animals."
"Yeah," I chuckled. "Ooooh, let me show you the best room."
I grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the kitchen, the calluses on his fingers brushing my palm.
"Ta duh, the kitchen, and...and i have this oven that you can literally bake anything in."
"Well...It's got to be the best, most extravagant, most beautiful kitchen I ever seen."He said sarcastically.
"You are so funny." I stated back also with sarcasm as I punched him in the arm.
"I know, I am literally the funniest person ever." He replied this time without sarcasm and a smirk on his face.
"Off to the rest of the house then." I suggested walking into the dining room again.
"So over there is my green house and over there is my alchemy tower."
"Thats very interesting, you have a greenhouse attached to your house."
"Yes, that way I can grow the more rare ingredients in my own home."
"Thats really clever."
"Uh, thanks. I...I think its getting late so, umm, I have an extra bed up stairs that you could use."
"Umm ok sure."
I don't know why but it felt odd, to be showing someone around my house, it's the kind of thing that friends would do, he was still a past enemy though. Could I call him a friend?
