Chapter 5 - I can't fall for him

I don't know what I was doing.

I was now standing in front of his dorm. I found his dorm number in my mission paper.

I knocked on his door.

It opened almost immediately, and then I saw it.

A shirtless Jaxon Cooper.

"Hey there, Danielle. What are you doing here?" he asked me.

I didn't see any harm in checking him out. But I just found myself hiding my blush.

"Oh Im sorry about that, just get in, ill put on a shirt." He gestured for me to get in his room.

I hesitated but just decided to get in.

My mission is clear, kill him.

I didn't bring any weapons, I thought my body would be enough.

He was now putting on a shirt, and I sat down on his bed.

To look harmless.

He sat next to me and asked "So, why are you here?"

I sighed and just decided to do it.

I got up and pinned him to the wall with my hands around his neck.

"Oh? For this?" he asked, gasping for air.

I noticed him looking at my lips. I normally don't "get ready" to assassinate but I put on a new cherry lipgloss today.

I don't know why.

I found myself loosening my grip, but still making sure to not loose it completely.

I was staring at him, he was staring back at me.

The second fucking chance. And I let it go.

It was complete silence before he broke it.

"You were trying to kill me huh?"

How.. how did he know?

I completely loosened my grip, dropping my hands to my sides.

I just noticed how close we were and I backed up.

"You wanna play that game?" It sounded more like a statement than a questions from him.

Before I could say anything, he pinned me to his bed.

"I..I.." I could barely breathe.

"Okay, let's play that game. Cat and mouse, was it called? Except we are both the mouses and cats." his words were empty of emotions.

Why.. why? Why am I feeling so.. sad about this?

And why am I not fighting back?

Both my hands are free.

He picked me up by my neck and lead me out.

"Game on, Danielle Shantelle"
