"Nico."

"Hmm."

"Nico, I need you to open the box."

"I'm too fucking tired to move."

"Please. Please."

Nico lifts his head to loo at Jason on the screen.

"What's in the box? Jassy?" Nico asks, lifting up the little thing. Jason blushes, and fidget with his desk. Nico begins to untie the little ribbon, glancing at the screen every so often.

Inside is a bow tie. A black one with dark blue stripes. Jason sniffs on-screen, and Nico looks up. Jason is holding a bow tie as well, but his is alternate colors from Nicos. And he is blushing really hard. Nico glances back at the box, pulling out the tie - and a note.

Unfolding it, his heart pounds.

Dear Nico,

Hey. It's Jason. I just....Nico, I want to go to the dance with you. And not as a friend. I want to go out with you. You are amazing, you're adorable, and you are my best friend. I like you Nico. I like you a lot. I'm pretty sure I have from the moment I met you. Just....Can you answer me? Yes or No. You don't even have to say it, just....put on the tie, Nico. It you want to go with me, just drape it around your neck. Please.

Love, Jason

Nico stares at the note, heart thumping, head spinning.

Jason..likes me? He wants to go to the dance with me?

He looks up, and sees Jason staring at him, biting his lip. The blonde's eyes are trained on Nico, and he picks up the tie, examining it.

Then he sets it around his neck.

"Nico, wake up! Buddy, wake up."

He whines, and Jason laughs, pulling him closer.

"Nico. Wake up, we have to get ready."

Nico opens his eyes, and meets Jason's.

"Ready for what?" Hot panic flashed through his brain, and his pulse races as he tries to figure out what Jason means. The blonde boy catches Nico by the wrist and sharply tugs him up.

"The friggin dance, you idiot. It's in an hour." Jason grumbles, clamboring off of the bed in a suit and tie. Before Nico could become transfixed on his friends outfit, he had a tuxedo shoved in his face.

"Put this on. Meet me in the entry hall, your mother bought our masks. Neither of us are allowed to see the other ones, so I'll get mine while you put on your suit. And hurry." Jason adds, stepping out and locking the door. Nico sighs. He hardly remember what happened last night, he was so tired. Something must've happened that included Jason and the dance.
