Another day, that's all.

It's getting harder and harder to tag along with helping cases, since Ran was starting to get worrisome over the cat.

Time came when Kogoro was given a case, but it became impossible to join in.

All the windows were locked shut and he wasn't able to slide past the two.

Shinichi sighed, trying to pry open the window with his small paws.

'Damn this cat body' he muttered under his breath.

He knew Kogoro will probably mess up whatever case he's on. Not like he's came to like Ran's dad and keeping his reputation afloat but it really gets on his nerves when the truth has been shaped into lies.

Suddenly, a dark skinned male was seen infront of the house he was trapped in, looking up and locking eyes.

Shinichi started banging on the window, he had a look of distress and seemed Like he wanted to get out.

"Ahou, what's up with em?" Heiji muttered under his breath with a confused look on his face before walking up to the front door and turning the knob, realizing it was closed.

"Ah, Kudo the house cat isn't allowed to get out anymore eh?" Heiji said with a mischievous grin

It made sense, after telling Ran about the crazy stunts he was doing back at the tour (without telling Ran that the cat was kudo) it would make sense that she would be a lot more over protective, and careful that shinichi doesn't pull something like jumping from a 10 story building or something.

Heiji then pulled out his phone, before going back to face shinichi by the window and pointing at the phone with a shrug

Shinichi looked around the room, jumping on some desks and opening drawers. But to his luck Kogoro seemed to have left behind his phone.

He jumped back to the window, yelling out some words

The only problem is, they're like 6 feet away from each other, and the window is closed too, which made it mostly impossible to hear each other.

Heiji, who couldn't understand anything decided to just call Kogoro, which he hoped was left in the house.
To his surprise, it seemed like he was right. Shinichi immediately jumped down from the window and was gone for the whole duration the call was rung.

Heiji looked pretty irritated looked at him sternly, only for shinichi to seemingly put his paw out and point at it with his other paw. He might have now just realized how hard for a cat to pick up a cellphone, one without buttons other than the ones given on the screen.

Heiji decided to keep calling until Shinichi manages to call him back, just his luck after trying with a cloth for almost 15 minutes.

"Took yah long enough" Heiji said with a annoyed look on his face.

"Oi, don't you understand how hard it is to be a cat? This is just one of the problems, and I'm forced to eat cat food for the rest of my life!" Shinichi shrieked with a small growl

Heiji couldn't help but chuckle.

"Yah have a point..." Heiji trailed off.

"What are you doing here anyway?"

Shinichi asked as he laid next to the phone

"Its the weekend, decided to come visit yah" Heiji replied with a smile, even though Shinichi can't see it he can tell from his voice that he was very gleeful when saying that.

"Its the weekend already? I lost track of time..." Shinichi mumbled as he rolled to his side before jumping back onto his feet.

"Oh right, can you go and help Kogoro on a case, I don't trust that the old man can actually find the culprit..."
Shinichi mumbled with a small giggle, while Heiji scratched the back of his head.
