"Eh? So that guy Makoto was the original Shiragami-sama?" Heiji asked, looking at Shinichi with one of his arms over the boy as they both walked, the two girls both walking behind the two.
"Yeah, he was the second generation one." Shinichi states.
"Second generation?" Ran asked.
"The first was his father. After his own daughter died when she got lost in the forest, so the other children in the village wouldn't suffer the same fate, he built that cabin in the forest and lived there as Shiragami-sama." Shinichi stated as he looked behind at Ran.
"That way he could frighten people from going into the forest. And three years ago, a died from an injury."
"Could it be that the stone by the cabin is..." Kogoro mumbled out, trailing off slightly.
"Yeah, Makoto-san's father's grave." Shinichi looked at Kogoro with a smile.
Heiji was glad everything was back to normal. He liked seeing Shinichi happy like that.
"You seem to know an awful lot about it." Kogoro mumbled as he walked behind Kazuha.
"I studies this case as well when I went here a year ago, there had been a problem in addition to that case. Kawauchi-San was there to cover the story, but her daughter got lost in the forest." Shinichi stated which made Ran look up.
"We heard about that from the people in the inn, they said Kawauchi-San went into the forest to look for her." Ran stated.
"Yeah, and when I was thinking of going in to search for her myself, her daughter made it out of the forest on her own. Saying she encountered the Shiragami-sama in the forest. Before she knew it, she'd come out of the forest. I wanted to figure that mystery out before the murder case, so I went into the forest." Shinichi stated with a grin.
"When I saw the Shiragami-sama, I chased after him." Shinichi then looked at the dark skinned male by his side with a smirk.
"Just like you. Except I didn't almost die that time." Shinichi huffed as Heiji just turned away, embarrassed.
"And I came to that cabin, that's when I came across Makoto-san in the guise of the Shiragami-sama." Shinichi finished as he continued walking.
"I see now," Heiji looked back at shinichi.
"So this time you borrowed the costume from where it was left in that cabin."
There was a smile on Shinichi's face as he turned back to Heiji, his cat ear twitched a little.
"Yeah, my clothes got wet when I fell into the lake, so that's all I was left with." Shinichi stated, Heiji just then realized how good at lying Shinichi is.
"Well, looking like this made everyone run away from me, so it helped me stay concealed I guess" Shinichi stated before turning to Heiji once more.
"Well, except one person."
"Kawauchi-San wasn't badly injured though, which is good, if he explains the situation to her later, maybe she might forgive him, and that could possibly lower his sentence. She was extremely grateful to the Shiragami-sama for rescuing her daughter a year ago, after all.
"Two minds really do think alike!" Kazuha exclaimed in awe.
"You're right, they're both almost the same" Ran added as she walked along side her.
Heiji chuckled at the compliment.
"Ne, Heiji, that made me wonder, why did you go running off to the forest, were you about to pray for Shinichi to get his memory back?" Kazuha asked, confused. But it made Heiji a lot more confused.
