Shinichi was stunned at the sudden appearance of Agasa, he seemed to have came to visit since Shinichi suddenly stopped coming to visit. But there wasn't anything he could do at the moment. Ran and Kogoro were out on a case most of the time and thus locked the house everytime they do so.
Agasa asked Ran to be in a private room with Shinichi, or well, 'Nekudo', his new cat name. Took them long enough, but he hoped that no one would actually overthink it and know the real reason he was named that.
After that day all Shinichi can think about is 'Damn you Hattori-kun'
Which is understandable, if the black organization took note of that and investigated further, they would have found out the drug didn't kill him, but turned him into a cat. And everyone he ever talked to or had a relationship with would be hunted down like prey.
But there was a unexpected reason Agasa came.
It seemed like he was working on something new.
"If you don't mind, I'll just place this over your ear" The kind old man said as he went over and held Nekudo's head gently, placing the gadget onto Shinichi's cat ear, it clipping by itself. A perfect fit.
"What is it?" Shinichi asked, With a stunned look on his face.
"Its a beta testing of a calling mechanism, it's like headphones, but for cats in a way. I'm also experimenting with voice recognition, since with that cat paws of yours, it would be pretty hard to tap cellphone buttons as a cat" Agasa says with a smile, he could see Shinichi perk up happily, a wide smile being seen on his face.
"How does it work?" Shinichi asks, a excited look on his face as he continuely rubbed his ear, seemed like he wasn't comfortable with it at first.
"The beta only let's you call people if you say the person or thing you want to call out loud. An example would be like, 'call' then state someone's name or contact. Phone numbers also work but you need to say all the numbers in order" Agasa stated before looking at the collar bowtie
"I'm still trying to figure out a space where I can add buttons in for the call, since I do understand you can't say someone's name out loud in that cat form."
Shinichi was just happy he finally managed to get a way of contacting Hattori
'Hattori? Why Hattori?' Shinichi thought to himself, his thoughts drowning him out of Agasa's further explanation.
He then realized, he was supposed to meet Hattori.
Not that he informed Heiji a moment before, he wanted to go there to surprise him. And of course, get out of the house for once in like, 5 weeks.
"I have a favor to ask, Agasa.." Shinichi mumbled, looking away.
"Bye Agasa! You can come again anytime!" Ran beamed cheerfully as she waved at the old man.
Agasa though, had his jacket closed, and somehow looked a little bigger... and is sweating?
"A-ah, yeah. I will, thank you for letting me come!" Agasa says before heading out of the detective agency's view before opening his coat, the black neko huffed from almost getting squashed to death.
"Thanks Agasa, I owe you one!" Shinichi says before sprinting away.
"Maybe I should make him jet boots, or climbing boots... hm..." Agasa hummed to himself before smiling, then walking off back to his own house.
The cat jumped and leaped, sprinting. Just until he reached the station. He slithered through the crowd and onto the station.
'Hm...' Shinichi thought as he jumped onto the bench.
