"Hi, Donna."

"Hey, Finn."

He sighed, his heart beating faster than before. From his attraction to her or from anxiety, he couldn't tell.

"I was wondering if you'd like to watch a movie with me and my friends this weekend." He asked, scanning her face for a response.

"I'm down, what movie?"

He hesitated, "Texas Chainsaw Massacre."

She seemed surprised, but not uninterested.

"I'm not usually allowed to watch horror movies." He quickly grew disappointed, "But I can make an exception for you."

He smiled, "Yay! I mean," he fake coughed a little, "I mean, great. It'll be after school on Friday. We can walk together, I'll just have my sister cover for me."

"Whose house is it at?"

"Oh, Robin's house, with like two or three other guys besides him and us. Trust me, he's not as scary as he seems."

"It's okay, if he's friends with you, I trust him. I'll just tell my parents I'm seeing a different movie at a friend's house."

"Great, I can't wait, Donna."

She smiled softly. Then their teacher started giving the lecture. But all he could focus on was the future.
