"Hey, Billy," Matty smiled at him as he sat down with his friends.

"Hey, Matty," he said, puzzled.

He sat down next to Billy on his other side. Stirring jealousy in Robin's heart. Who put his tongue in his cheek. An angry habit of his.

"Not to be rude, but what do you want?" Robin asked.

Matty chuckled, "It's a matter about his dad. You know, the ferocious lawyer?"

"I'm familiar."

"Good, then let us get to the point-" Vance spoke.

"What do you mean 'us?'" Bruce interrogated.

F: Are they both jealous?

"I mean us because we found that:" Vance pointed to the notebook Matty put on the table. The same red and white spiral pattern.

"This was your father's?" Finney asked, picking it up. And reading the name on it.

"Mhm, flip to around the end. It's got his perspective on the case." He said the last sentence looking directly at Billy.

BS: There's a lot more in this notebook than we think, isn't there?

"Stop on July 13th, 1973. It's the day my mom was killed." Vance said to Finney who was reading it. With everyone else behind his shoulder.

"Holy shit," he looked up at Matty, "So he didn't have any initial involvement in the first place. The way everyone framed him as if he was some..."

"Big bad guy pulling all of the strings? Heh, he was pulling a lot, I'll tell you that. But what my uncle did was outside of everyone's control. He's a drunk old hound that can't be tamed. Fucking demon." Matty laughed, looking to the side.

"He only helped him because he thought the Klan wouldn't respect him if Calvin was in jail." Donna said.

"It's not like he was respected anyway. It's probably because they agreed with his actions. Her mother was an immigrant after all."

Almost all of their stomachs turned at that thought. Coming from immigrant households themselves.

"And kept going 'cause he was scared of my dad. Rightfully so," Billy said.

"Speaking of him, turn to the last written page."

Finney did as he said, reading through it.

"What does this have to do with anything?" He asked, looking back at him.

"That was his last night alive. Does anything stand out to you?"

"The name Shirley sure as Hell does." Billy said, remembering something from long ago.

"So you do know who he is. That supports my theory then."

"Could you ask your dad who he is? Unless any of you have a clue?" Vance asked, looking at them.

"Wait, does he have a son named Tyler and a daughter named Susie? Tyler's one of my friends, none of you have met him."

Billy looked at him, "I think so...Ask her what her last name is and come back to us."

Griffin nodded and went to the girls. They watched him as he talked to the brunette. She nodded and seemed to ask him why. He gave a normal answer. And then came back to them.

"She's a Shirley. I asked her who her parents were. And said her dad's name was Tommy. I thought that'd be more important to you guys than her mom's name. She also said she did indeed have an older brother named Tyler."

"Did she ask why you asked?" Robin asked.

"I just said in case we could ever all hang out sometime. I told her my mom's name in return: Helen."
