CW: Mentions of KKK, white supremacy, and rape. Violence & weapons.

I decided to make a dialogue change about the Kennedy family mentioned.

January 2nd, 1979

"Hey Griffin?" Vance asked the younger boy.

"Yeah?"

"Could you maybe sit with your other friends today?"

He looked kind of offended but mostly sad, "Why? Are you guys embarrassed by me?"

Bruce immediately reassured him. "Of course not, Buddy. It's just we older kids need to discuss something,"

The look on his face immediately read as, "Like what?"

"Gwen would love for you to sit with her." Finney said.

"Okay then," he said, grabbing his backpack and lunch with him. And moved to the next table over with the three other girls. The other two being Amy Yamada and Suzie.

"What was that for?" Billy asked.

"Have I told any of you the story of how my mom died?"

Billy, Donna, and Finney looked at each other and shook their heads.

"So: Nicole Hargrove, 1975. I was ten years old, with unmarried parents, right? Yeah so we're all minding our fucking business. Then one night, she comes home from the bar. Because her old drinking habits die hard. There's this grown ass man that approaches her. He asks her out but I already mentioned she was with my old man. So she says that as nice as she could. But either this guy couldn't take no for an answer, maybe even a manbaby. Or my mom was more blunt than she thought she was. So he beat her, probably raped her, then ultimately strangled her to death. Because 'If I can't have you then no one can.'"

Their jaws were on the ground, Donna had a rage in her eyes. Probably as another female.

"So, what did they do with the body?" Billy asked.

"He probably raped her again, fucking necrophiliac. But other than that, I'm pretty sure he buried her in a field near town. The bloodhounds found it, like a month later after my dad requested it."

They nodded their heads in understanding.

"Not to be blunt, but why is this relevant?" Billy asked.

"Because, Bruce had an excellent idea while I was at his house." Vance said, looking at him with pride and wrapping an arm around his shoulder. Billy had a suspicious look on his face.

"I thought maybe since she never got any justice, we would track him down. And like, jump him."

"Not kill him?" Robin asked.

"No, I can't have any of you going to jail. Trust me it's not a pleasant experience." Vance insisted.

Arellano sighed in disappointment, "Fine. It's your madre, after all."

Vance smiled with his lips, "Thank you for understanding. Are we all in? I understand if you don't want to, Donna." He said looking at her.

She looked almost offended at his implication. "No, I will be going. If our officers won't deliver justice where it's due, then God will. And I will be the proof, we all will be."

Damn, Bruce and Robin were right. She's bloodlusty.

He had to take a moment to process what she just said. All of their jaws were slack. Even Griffin overheard but quickly turned back to the girls when he was caught.
