Max, Nancy, Jonathan and I make our way down to see the everyone all standing there. "What happened?" Max asks. "It's gone." El says, turning to us. She looks at me and frowns. "What happened to Y/N?" She asks. "I don't know." Max says, frowning too.

"We need to figure out where they're going." Mike says. "I can find them." El says. "I just need a photo." She adds.

Nancy and Jonathan went out to collect the photos after dropping us 'kids' at home.

"But-" "No, Mike. You guys stay here where it's safer. It's just a few photos." Nancy says before slamming the door. "This is stupid." Mike says, crossing his arms. I sit on a sofa with Max. She keeps on glancing over at me and I know it. "Max." I say. She doesn't respond but glances at me again. "Max." I say again, looking at her. She looks at me, a frown on her face. "We need to know what happened back there, Y/N." She says. "I already told you, I don't know." I say. "That's why we have to figure it out." Max says loudly.

The others look at us, pretending they have not been overhearing us. "What happened, Y/N?" Will asks. "I don-" "Just tell us. Everything." Lucas says. I sigh, rubbing my head. "I don't know...I was... with you guys at the door of that room...." I start. "Then, a sharp ringing started going off in my head when El was getting the door open. Painfully loud." I say. "Then everything was muffled." I say. Everyone is quiet, thinking, in thought, whatever. "Is that the first time it happened?" Lucas asks.

I think for a moment...

Standing outside the Holloway house, a ringing starts in my ears. I look over at the others, they didn't hear it? El uses her powers to open the door. Was it from inside? The ringing subsides, clearing out. Hm, that's weird.

I look over at Mike and Lucas, whacking a vending machine. A high pitched ringing starts and I wince. Again? I look around to see no one reacting. Just me? I look at El who is staring at the vending machine, focusing when suddenly, the food falls out of the vending machine. The ringing subsides and I watch as El wipes her nose and Mike and Lucas stare in shock.

"Yeah, actually." I say. "When?" Will asks. "Twice. It wasn't so....strong though. Once was when we were at the Holloway house and we were getting the door open." I start. "The other is at the hospital, when we were all in our different groups waiting for Nancy and Jonathan." I finish. "That's...weird." Max says. "I didn't hear anything." She says. The others shake their heads too. The front door suddenly bursts open, the wind pushing it open because Nancy hadn't closed it right. "Oh crap." Mike says, frightened.

El raises her hand to close the door with her powers when the ringing happens again. "Ah, shit." I say, wincing. The others look at me, frowning. "Is it happening?" Max asks. I nod, waiting as it quiets.

We all sit quietly before Will speaks up. "When you heard it at the Holloway house, was it when El opened the door?" He asks. I nod. "And at the hospital, was it when she helped Mike and Lucas at the vending machine?" He adds. I nod again, looking at the girl. "And it happened again when El was using her powers to open the door, and got really bad when she blasts the monster."

My eyes widen, realising what he means. "And again now when she closed the door." He finishes. "So, every time it happens, El is using her powers." Max mutters. I look at El, who looks around, raising her hand and lifting a bottle. The ringing returns and I wince.

"Holy shit. Y/N is connected to El." Lucas says. I look at the girl in question, confusion filling my face. "But...how?" I ask. "Maybe...it's like how I'm connected to the Mind Flayer." Will says. "I'm connected because he put some of himself in me. Maybe...." He says thinking. Max jumps to her feet, gasping. "When El gave Y/N her energy." She says. "That's right. It didn't happen until after that day, right?" Mike asks. I nod in response. "There's your answer." He says.
