I had Pete drop me off a few blocks from the shop, I knew if Elizabeth saw us she would not let us leave so easily. I made my walk of shame into the shop, as I put my stuff up she leans on her fists grinning from ear to ear.
"Sooooo how'd it go last night? I wanna know everything but the sex part, I don't need to know the details of your sexual activities." She mentioned
"Well if you must know I walked back to the house and got my stuff.... Crap I left my uhhh charger at his house. Anyway I get back we walk to his car and we hang out on the pier till it started to rain, then we went back to his house." I explained
"Really that's it you guys are so boring." She said angrily
"Your the one that just said you didn't want to know my sex life. But I'll tell you it was worth the 4 hours but that's all I'm saying... oh yeah I also have a date to a premier with him but yeah that's boring." I noted
"You what?! Are you sure you want to do that this soon? Like you didn't even want to go with me because you didn't want to take attention away from me and didn't want publicity here all the time?" She questioned
"It's two months from now I have time to get use to it, after all they'll eventually watch us out in public and the rumors will start, so I might as well get it out there. Plus we both agreed if it's meant to be it'll be if not at least we had a good time." I explained
A few weeks later Pete comes in to get more stuff looking bothered by something, I try not to notice I just figured he was in a bad mood day. He brings his stuff to the counter does a half smile and let's out a huge sigh, neglected to tell me he somehow starts pouring it out.
"So someone saw us at the pier the other night and it's all over social media, one of my friends showed it to me. I know your not ready for this so I'm buying stuff till the premier and keeping you out of the camera view. I'm not doing this to be a dick I'm doing it to respect your personal life till your ready."
He grabs his stuff and leaves without even a bye or a kiss on the cheek. I try not to cry but it hurts that we have to go back to our old ways, I get to thinking these rumors aren't going to stop they'll make it into tabloids and many magazines. They'll be stalking the streets trying to find the mystery girl, plus I gotta get use to it once the premier is over. Nobody said I had to talk to these people but obviously I'd have to at his thing.
I messaged Pete to meet me for lunch in 5 minutes just to name the place. He picked the place I grabbed my stuff "im going to lunch" as I ran out the door in a rush to meet him.
"Okay first off not cool leaving me like that without even a cheek kiss, remember the stuff I said our first night together, I seriously meant it. I have to get use to it when we come out at your thing so might as well get use to the cameras now, I just don't have to talk to them right now." I said
He looked at me shocked and amazed that I was able to come up with such a good plan. "I mean if your really ready for all of this then I'm down. If at any time this gets to be too much let me know, I can make it look like we aren't a thing anymore till the premier."
I went back to work, bracing for cameras everywhere. Somehow I was able to miss them all, I start stocking shelves when Elizabeth comes and asks why I ran off in such a rush, making sure customers weren't publicist I explained the whole making Pete and I a thing till the premiere when we officially let the whole world know we're a couple.
We closed up early so we could both get ready for the big night, we decided to go together and meet the guys there. She chose a long black sparkly knee cut slit with spaghetti straps with black heels , I chose long strapless rose gold knee cut slit with white wedges. We arrived trying to find our guys, we spotted them Dacre was wearing all black with tie and nice dress shoes, Pete chose all black no tie black converse and of course he decided to smoke one before we hit the red carpet. They both look at us with the wow face and trying not to drool, Pete tried everything to not rip it all off.
"Wow I thought date night was the best of you, but this... this tops it. You look amazing, and we haven't even told the world yet, you ready? Again we don't have to do this, you can always go around to the other side and wait for me in our seats." He comforted
"No I'm ready I hate hiding when I wanna be able to show you the one person that I love.... I mean trust yes I'm ready" I explained
He kinda hesitated as we started to walk, shocked that I said I loved him first. As we were walking he made small talk, cameras flashing, people questioning who I was. Pete mumbled "hold on did you say you love me first? Like you beat me at something for once and I'm not even mad."
As we walker further down we both hear "PETE WHOSE THE MYSTERY LADY ON YOUR SIDE TONIGHT SHES ONE LUCKY GIRL CAN WE HAVE A NAME TO THE FACE."
He wrapped he hands around my arms with the look asking if I was for sure ready for this, I rubbed one of his hands in reassurance I was okay with it.
"This is bailynnd and I'm the one that's pretty lucky, she's the best ever and I couldn't ask for a better girl than her by my side tonight and every night." He told the press
Looking at him with happy tears he kissed my forehead and we ventured on into the center looking for Dacre and Elizabeth because we were sitting next to them.
"So did he tell them?" She asked
"He did and it was the sweetest thing ever I think I'm going to fight for this one." I stated
The night goes on and they all end up winning an award, then headed to the after party.
