I was busy in the shop the day Pete came bursting the the crowd with excitement. I was trying not to seem anxious with the customers but what could I do when all I'm hearing is "BAILYNND" on repeat.
When he got to the counter I had just finished up the last customer in line when he tried to catch his breath and get words to come out.
"Listen slow down take deep breaths in..... out... calm the fuck down then explain all this exciting commotion" I argued
"So.. um.. I.. uh.. I got a job for a movie. It's in Australia and we leave tomorrow morning." He said gasping
As I looked at him with a shockingly speechless expression Elizabeth approached eagerly "hey guys what's.... Up.. um why's she got that look of "o shit" and why do you look scared?"
"I got a job in Australia for 2 months and I told her we leave tomorrow morning and I got this." He explained
"You realize this is her business right she can't just up and pack everything and go she has to be here. I'm just helping when I'm not working on scripts, but by law she is allowed vacation time... she hasn't used them either so really she could use them both in a month or do a week each month." Elizabeth noted
As I stood there speechless Liz told Pete to go home she'd try to calm me down and talk about it once we had the time. He agrees and by lunch she had finally calmed me down and was able to breathe, as Liz makes her way over to discuss the whole Pete and Australia thing.
"So here's my thing I've told my director I'll not be able to do anything this week due to you being out of town he said it was fine. I'll take over the store your going to leave early go pack and be ready for your flight in the morning." She demanded
"Wait your on his side? I figured you'd be all like "the fuck you think, she ain't going anywhere she can't leave her own store" but your seriously going to run this for a week while I'm out doing god knows what in Australia with Pete for a whole week? Your seriously the best friend ever!" I squealed hugging her and running out to get ready for my flight tomorrow to Australia.
3am the next morning my phones going off as I grunt and roll over to answer it barely able to see I was able to view "Pete💕😘" . Jumping up to get my suitcase packed for a weeks vacation in Australia with him I answered before I could even get out "hey" he is yelling on the other side.
"HURRY UP WE HAVE TO BE AT THE AIRPORT IN 10 MINUTES WE BOTH OVERSLEPT." He yelled
"Dude chill it takes 5 to get there and besides all your stuff is already on the way there all we have to do is get my suitcase through the whole process." I claimed
"Just please hurry I even stopped and got your coffee so you wouldn't be a raging bitch all morning to me. I also got donuts to hold us till we board. Just come on baby please." He begged
"I'm coming out the door right now geez I'm glad it's just a week with you, I'm not sure I can handle a whole month or not. Maybe I should have done a vacation like this with you before I agreed to marry you." I joked.
Pete on the other hand didn't find it as amusing as I did, maybe he was the one who needed the coffee more than me. As I got in the car he sped off and started talking about everything that was going to happen when we got there. I on the other hand was thinking of everything I could explore and everything I got to see when we get there, but more importantly I was excited to spend some alone time with him when I had the chance in Australia.
When we arrived in Australia I took in the view of the wildlife just roaming around. The koalas, kangaroos, and lizards were so much cooler in person than on the phone. A driver took us to our casa during his stay here, I figured a small little one bedroom bungalow or something small, no we had a 12 bedroom mansion on a hill.
My eyes widened and my mouth flew open, I couldn't believe that just the two of us we're staying in this huge house. He had to meet up with a few people to go over what was going on while he was here, I chose to stay and venture through the many rooms in this place.
After I found my way back to our room I decided to make a list of things I wanted us to experience together while I was here, there was lots to do in just a week I couldn't decide which to do first.
Pete came back, as I ran to him with excitement about my plans I made for us while I was here. His facial expression dropped in sorrow as he explained that I would only get to see him when he was done filming for the days and the morning before he left.
"Oh.. ok.. that's cool I guess. I mean I can find a way to do all these things myself while I wait for you to get back. I mean I didn't figure you'd be able to anyway I just thought it would be fun to do." I said saddened
"No stop don't be sad it'll be okay I promise, let me talk to them and see if I can have a short day and we can do anything you want! Here take my card go shopping and buy some lunch whatever you want my treat while your here, I promise I'm not going to abandon you." He gestured
