"Happy Birthday Mom!" Rita ji's children sang together while she was cutting the cake with Akriti.
"Thank you! Thank you mere bacchon! Mujhe pata nahi tha tumlogo ne sachme itni badi party plan ki hogi. Mai bohot khush hu, sab aaj mere liye aaye! Khana kha lijiye ab aap sab." Their mother expressed her gratitude and asked everybody to have dinner.
"Sidharth, mujhe Akriti ne bataya teri ek friend aayi thi. Usse chot lag gayi? How's she?" She asked her son.
"Ha, wo pao mud gaya tha uska slip hoke. She'd be fine." Sidharth replied, recalling Shehnaaz's injury along with her reluctant behaviour.
"Okay, chal." Rita ji said and they attended a few guests.
"Tujhe Deshmukh uncle yaad hai? Yeh unki wife Nimisha Aunty." Neetu joined her brother to introduce him to their guests.
"Ha, uncle aur Dad colleagues the. Namaste Aunty." He replied, greeting the middle aged lady in front of him.
"Namaste Beta, you remember Aisha?" The lady said, turning to a beautiful girl dressed up in a middy dress, who smiled at everyone.
"Your daughter?" Sidharth guessed.
"Dekha? Usse tum yaad ho!" Nimisha chirped.
As soon as the elderlies began to catch up Sidharth was left with no option but to talk with Aisha because he couldn't find his niece around.
"I've read this big fat article about Mobitechtron in the E- times! You're doing great there!" Aisha complimented.
"Thanks!" He smiled in response to that.
"And you're a?" He asked, letting his question hang.
"Web designer." She replied.
"Oh great!" He commented and then they shared a minute of silence.
"So, that was it? We both suck at making small talks!" She mentioned it and it made both of them laugh.
At a good distance, there stood two sisters who had planned this unofficial introduction. "Dono baatein kar rahe hai! And they're smiling!" Preeti told her sister.
"Ha! I told you Nimmi aunty ki beti achi hai. Dekh, ab has rahe hai!" Neetu replied and they shared a small hug to celebrate their victory.
"Kya hua? Mujhe bhi batao?" Akriti joined them.
"Udhar dekh." Preeti whispered to the kiddo.
"Kaha?" Akriti replied and the sisters looked back at the spot to find Aisha standing idle while Sidharth was walking out while talking over the phone.
The next day, the Shukla family was packing their bags to leave for Lonavala. Walking around and making sure they had everything they'd need on their two days of mini vacation.
"Jaldi karo yaar!? 12 baj gaye hai ghar pe hi!" Sidharth asked people to hurry up.
"Mom toh subha se kisi ko location samjha rahi hai, adha time toh isliye lag raha hai." Akriti informed him.
"Aur kon aa raha hai? Neetu?" He asked his sister.
"Nimmi aunty aur Aisha." Neetu shrugged, walking across the dining table to pack fruits.
"Kyu invite kiya unko?" He was mad at his extrovert sister for having this habit of hanging out with anybody and everybody.
"Family jaise hi hai unlog, just that we've lost touch with them because they left the city. Humne bula liya." Preeti answered his question.
