"You guys ready?" Sidharth shouted, walking across the hall and entering Preeti's room. It was a late Sunday morning where the family had planned an outing together, long drives around the outskirts like their good old days.
"Knock karke aana chahiye na, I'm changing." Ajay commented when his brother-in-law walked in unannounced.
"Arey, awaz de ke toh aaya!" He defended himself.
"Waise bhi tujhe change karte kisne nahi dekha. Tujhe yaad hai ek baar Manju bua aur unki teeno betiya tere room me aa gayi thi Mom ko dhundte huye." He recalled the time when they had guests over for a function and one of their aunt and her daughters had walked into Ajay while he was changing. The brother sister high fives each other and broke into a huge fit of laughter, remembering the funny encounter.
"Ho gaya? Galti se aa gaye the unlog." Ajay rolled his eyes at them.
"Right. Right. Thik jaise teri Radha Bai bathroom me phenyl lene aati thi jab tu naha raha hota tha? Daily?" Sidharth asked.
"Ajayyy?!!" Preeti couldn't believe what she just heard about her husband, she dropped the cloth she was going to dress up her child in.
"Aye! That was back when I was a kid, hardly 5! Radha Bai aaya thi meri!" He clarified to his wife and gestured to his brother in law to zip his mouth who was busy laughing. He regretted oversharing this particular childhood memory that had just caused him immense embarrassment.
"Apne kisse sunao beta! Dusro ke mazey lena toh bada asaan hota hai.. Nagpur wale Suresh Mama yaad hai tujhe?" Preeti asked Sidharth.
"Kon..?" He tried to recall.
"Jo bhi the, just let it be. Late nahi ho raha?" He added, knowing his sister would only remember the some very mortifying moments from his life at this very time.
"Kyu? Abhi kyu late ho raha hai? Babe, yaad kar." Ajay commented, encouraging his wife.
"Mama humare ghar ruke the jab Neetu ki shaadi hone wali thi, preparations me help karne ke liye." Preeti said, looking at her brother who shook his head at her.
"Sid uss waqt MBA final year me tha aur Mama ka beta 1st year me and they asked him to for some notes and study materials if possible." Preeti added.
"Chalna yaar Pri, jaane de. Purani baat ho gayi bohot." Sidharth replied, trying to talk his sister out of it.
"Bata aage kya hua?" Ajay encouraged her.
"Aage hua ye, ki Sid ne jo study materials ke folder Mama ko diye wo kisi aur hi subject ke the. He selected the wrong folder apparently." Preeti replied.
"Oh my God! You sent them *porm!" Ajay exclaimed and burst up laughing.
"That's not the worst part." Sidharth mumbled, taking a seat on the edge of the bed.
"What's the worst part?" Ajay asked.
"The entire family saw it. Mama ne baaton baaton me sabke samne folder open kar diya tha." Sidharth sighed, guilty and ashamed out of his life for that very incident.
"Hawwww! Man, I wish I was there!" Ajay replied, laughing while holding on to his stomach when it began to hurt.
"Uss din ke baad Mama ne tujhse ek baar bhi baat nahi ki na?" Preeti ended up laughing badly as well.
"You guys know what, I'm leaving." Sidharth got up, having enough for the day.
"Hey Sid!" Ajay along with his wife followed him out, still laughing and all of them made their way out as per their plan.
