Sidharth had managed to assure Shehnaaz that he was only glad to have her in his life and he wouldn't leave her. But her way of processing thoughts bothered him, her lack of confidence and need for validation made him worry.

Did she not have enough faith in him? Had he not been there for her to believe that she thought her past would make a difference?

Getting over her insecurities and healing over the past was not his job, he could only help her. Still, his efforts would matter a lot in the process and he must not let her feel left out and any less in their relationship. He was originally planning on staying the night but he just couldn't, seeing Shehnaaz was the first thing on his mind past the dinner.

He was on his way back to Mumbai, tired of the meetings and greetings but the thought of her crying over something where she wasn't even at fault would let him sleep. It was around 11 at night when he left for her place and it was pretty late when he parked his car outside Shehnaaz's building. Call it his presence of mind or heedful habit, he carried the pair of extra keys to her apartment in his car. Luckily they came in handy today when he quietly unlocked her apartment and walked in to find the place unexpectedly loud.

He could hear the tap running and Shehnaaz hurling inside the bathroom. He panicked but the empty beer bottles in the living room reminded him of the aftermath. She was throwing up as a consequence of too much alcohol.

He walked into her room and waited for her outside the bathroom, he knocked at the door when he couldn't hear the water running anymore. "Are you okay?" He asked when she didn't respond.

"Kon hai?" She asked and he chuckled.

"It's me, baby. Tu thik hai?" He replied.

"How did you get inside? Mera phone hai mere pass, I'm calling the police right away!" She shouted afraid of who broke into her apartment so late at night.

"It's Sidharth! I used my spare keys! Calm down!" He replied immediately, realizing she must have panicked hearing from him at such an unexpected hour.

"Tu!?" She opened the door with a shocked face.

"Raat ke teen baje aise kisi ke bathroom pe kon knock karta hai? Mera heart fail ho jana tha abhi andar!" She exhaled a deep breath and emptied a glass of water she always had near her nightstand.

"Yeah sorry, actually mai dinner ke baad nikal gaya tha. You okay?" He replied, following her.

"Ha, I'm fine. Ek minute mai change karke aayi." She nodded, heading towards her wardrobe.

"Kuch khayega? Meko bhook lag rahi hai, mai maggie banane wali hu." She asked while changing.

"Nahi, tu khale. Maine kuch khaya toh phir neend nahi aayegi." He replied, simply observing her yet again reserved behaviour. Was she playing cool like it didn't happen or what?

"Mujhe toh midnight snacks ke Bina neend nahi aati!" She chuckled, walking towards him and gathering him into a quick hug.

"Missed you." She mumbled, faintly.

"I missed you too!" He replied, smiling as equally as her.

"Maine pareshan kar diya na? Tujhe aise late night nahi aana chahiye tha, akela drive karta aaya hoga. Janti hu mai tujhe." She mentioned.

"Anyway, aana tha." He shrugged, hugging her back tightly. They parted, hearing her stomach go all 'Grrr!' and laughed out loud.

"Haaye, chal jaldi. Bohot bhook lagi hai." She giggled, taking him to the kitchen. He pulled out the packet of Maggie by the time she put water on the stove.
